Another 5-star review for Hamish. I don’t know what to say. He was so friendly, supportive, knowledgeable and all round just a great practitioner. The whole appointment (DEXA Scan and V02 Max) Hamish put me at ease. Highly recommend him to anyone. Will be returning!

Had such a great experience getting my DEXA scan done here! Hamish was so friendly and really put me at ease. I went in feeling a little nervous and left feeling completely comfortable with the whole process. He clearly knew his stuff and made the experience genuinely enjoyable rather than just clinical and routine. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a knowledgeable, welcoming team. Ask for Hamish!

Was bouncing around GPs, physios for over year trying to get my shoulder sorted. Rotator cuff and labrum issue. Discomfort generally. And; Making no gains in the gym because the shoulder was the limiting factor. Ultrasound guided steroid injections, deep tissue massage, dry needling, certain exercise regimens. Even had a GP and another physio told me I should stop weight training altogether 😲 and thought I'd probably have to go under the knife. 😵 Dr Garrett Leonard was the start. Ater tests, referred me to Shane Troy who got me on the road to recovery. Make sure you CONSISTENTLY DO the exercises he tells you to do. Fasy forward to now, day to day my shoulder is 100%. Have also now gotten 9 solid months of gains at the gym including pec, upper pec and shoulder development. No pain on triceps pushdowns 😀 Shane also used to be a serious lifter. I think he should definitely add this to his bio so guys (and girls) who lift in the gym have someone that knows what it's like.

Foam rollersAmazon Basics High-Density Foam Roller, 30cmAmazon Basics

A short, firm foam roller in moulded polypropylene. Small enough to keep beside the mat or take to class.

Everyday use

Goes well with Sleep & Recovery Fitness & Movement

Why we picked it

A roller does not need to be clever. It needs to be firm enough to hold its shape and short enough that you actually use it. This is the plain, inexpensive one, and the 30cm length is the right size for calves, thighs and the upper back without taking over the room.

Breathwork booksBreath: The New Science of a Lost ArtJames Nestor

James Nestor's account of how we breathe and how we used to, drawing on breathing traditions, pulmonology and his own experiments. Paperback edition.

Good for beginners

Goes well with Breathwork

Why we picked it

If a breathwork class has left you curious about why any of it works, this is the book to read next. It is a reporter's book rather than a manual, which is why it is so readable, and it sends most people back to class with better questions.
