Read all on GoogleI'm in my first year attending a Men's Table and already feel like I have personally gained a great deal. Friendships take time to build and the foundations are very strong because we talk openly and honestly. I have more meaningful conversations at the table than I have with some people I have known for years.
For a group based on understanding and helping each other grow they didn't seem very friendly or understanding while I served them copped some attitude while just trying to help out and some backhanded comments to go with it. I felt judged on my appearance, (I have face peircings) considering the themes of the men's table I would've thought they would be more understanding and kind to the people around them, seems like a bunch of men perpetrating the same system of uncaring indifference towards men that has put them into their position, kinda like how alcoholics anonymous judge people that use drugs despite being addicts themselves Disappointing
Been a member of a mens table for over a year now. I have no affiliation with the organisation other than being a member of a table. I have found it helpful to find a group of local men with whom I can share a meal, share a beer and listen as they express themselves without judgement, without someone offering advice on how to fix a problem or telling them that they’re stupid. You will get out of the mens table what you put in.
Some of the reviews are contrary to my experience. Am on a table with a great bunch of guys and we all thoroughly look forward to a catch up. Found myself at a loss and slept in my car, offers for a bed came flooding in. So good am joining a second table.
I’ve been going to various types of men’s groups for over twenty years and the Men’s Table has by far been the easiest and also most effective way I’ve seen. I love how not only is the whole process organised, the group culture is set up and the group itself is supported throughout. I highly recommend this to any man who is looking for a way to connect with and deepen their relationships to other men.
