Why our editors picked it

Best acupuncture Best acupuncture in Perth

“The only clinic in the directory that publishes a full price list, which in this field is worth saying out loud. Three AHPRA-registered practitioners on Newcastle Street with a second clinic in Subiaco, offering acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping and remedial massage, with HICAPS rebates processed on the spot.”

We’ve come here a few times for acupuncture to help with our back problems and migraines, and it has helped a lot. The practitioner is very skilled, professional, and makes you feel comfortable during the treatment. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for acupuncture in Perth.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Peter for acupuncture for the past two years, and he completely helped me regulate my menstrual cycle. Now I’m pregnant, and I couldn’t be more grateful! Dr. Peter is professional and caring, and the front desk staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I thought the electro-acupuncture intensity was fluctuating, but the battery was actually dead. The whole session was ruined. There's no way I'm buying their essential oils or coming back regularly. Since it was only my first time and there are barely any reviews, I can't judge if it works, but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth

Wellness journalsThe 5-Minute Gratitude JournalSophia Godkin, PhD

A guided journal with short daily prompts: a few lines in the morning, a few at night. Undated, so a missed day costs nothing.

Makes a gift

Goes well with Mindfulness coaching

Why we picked it

A journal only works if it is short enough to keep doing. This one asks for five minutes and three lines, which is the amount most people will actually write, and undated pages mean no guilt about the gaps. A good gift because nobody buys it for themselves.

Breathwork booksBreath: The New Science of a Lost ArtJames Nestor

James Nestor's account of how we breathe and how we used to, drawing on breathing traditions, pulmonology and his own experiments. Paperback edition.

Good for beginners

Goes well with Breathwork

Why we picked it

If a breathwork class has left you curious about why any of it works, this is the book to read next. It is a reporter's book rather than a manual, which is why it is so readable, and it sends most people back to class with better questions.
