Kundalini Yoga Southwest — Meditation classes in Yallingup
5.0 (6 · Google)
Online availableReset

Kundalini classes from a room in Yallingup, with meditation, sound and breathwork on the same timetable, plus occasional retreats. Kundalini is a different shape of class from a flow — more breath and repetition, less sequence — and the studio says so rather than leaving you to find out.

How Oria chooses these mind & mental wellbeing places

1 of the 5 mind & mental wellbeing listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.

As of October 2026, 1 of the 5 Mind & Mental Wellbeing listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Margaret River) — counted live from the directory.

Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 9 October 2026.

Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.

The guide

Before you go: mind & mental wellbeing in Perth

Three quite different things share this shelf, and timetables rarely say which one you are booking.

Meditation classes are usually guided sittings — someone talks, you sit, it lasts half an hour to an hour. Mindfulness is more often taught as a course over six or eight weeks with the same group each time, and the practice is homework between sessions rather than the session itself. Breathwork is the physically demanding one: sustained patterned breathing that can leave your hands tingling and your emotions closer to the surface than you expected. Counselling and coaching are one-to-one and booked like an appointment.

On practicalities: several Perth sittings are free or by donation, and those tend to be the volunteer-run ones rather than the studios. Courses ask you to commit to the whole run and usually cost less per session than dropping in. Breathwork facilitators generally ask about pregnancy, heart conditions and epilepsy before a first session, so expect that question and answer it honestly.

Related: meditation classes, mindfulness coaching, breathwork, counselling, and yoga and movement.

Your first visit

What to expect at your first breathwork session

You lie down and breathe in a pattern a facilitator sets, usually to music, for an hour or so. It is more physical than it sounds.

  • Session length 60–90 min
  • Group size 6–30
  • Experience needed None — facilitators screen beforehand

From arrival to heading home

  1. Before your visit

    • Ten minutes early. Facilitators generally ask about heart conditions, pregnancy, epilepsy and recent surgery before starting, so allow time for that conversation.
    • Loose, warm, comfortable clothes. You will be lying still afterwards and body temperature drops.
  2. During the session

    • A screening conversation first. Be straightforward about health conditions and medication; it changes what a facilitator will ask of you.
    • Everyone lies down with a blanket. Lights low, music on.
    • The facilitator guides the pace of breathing and keeps talking through it.
    • Tingling in the hands and face, and sometimes cramping in the fingers, is common with sustained fast breathing. Facilitators name this beforehand so it does not alarm you.
    • A long quiet period at the end, and often a chance to talk afterwards if you want to.

A little preparation

  • What to bring Water, and a blanket or eye mask if you have them — most places provide both.

This describes what these sessions are generally like, not any one venue on this page. Facilities and policies vary, so check anything that matters to you with the venue before you book.
