I have been to Wendy’s Bowen sessions over the past 3 or 4 years now. Whenever I have any kind of issues like sciatica, muscle soreness (from over doing things at work or in the garden) or pinched nerve in my neck I have found excellent relief from the pain it has caused and have found muscles returned to their normal state. Wendy is a lovely lady and has very calm and friendly manner. I always feel much more relaxed after her sessions. Wendy also has great follow up stretches and advice on how to care myself after each session. I found the Bowen therapy that Wendy does has great lasting effects and I only go when I have done something unusual to my body. But it’s good to go for a general balance of the muscles too. Makes a huge difference to the way I walk and to the strength of my muscles. Thanks Wendy.

How these ratings work
These bars are a guide, not a score of this business. Each starts from Oria Haven’s profile of Massage as a kind of session, then is adjusted by facts stored on this listing: its price band, its group size and whether it welcomes beginners.
Nobody has rated this particular venue in person, and reviews are not fed in. Where we have no fact about this listing behind a bar — for example how many people share the room — we leave that bar out rather than guess.
They describe the room — how quiet, how physical, how many people — never what a session is supposed to do for you.

Wendy is the best thing since sliced bread. Her knowledge and understanding of not only myself, but also my husband and our son, has been incredible. She has treated our family for many years and continues to help keep our health and bodies in great working order. I would highly recommend Wendy for all your Bowen therapy needs.
As a recreational long distance runner, I had persistent aches and pains. Massage, physio, needling etc. provided short term relief. A friend recommended Bowen therapy. Wendys gentle Bowen technique went against my "no pain, no gain" theory, and gave marked improvement from the first hour. Thank you Wendy for helping me continue to reach my goals!

Weleda's 100ml plant-oil body massage oil, vegan, most often bought during pregnancy.
Goes well with Massage & Bodywork
Why we picked it
An oil rather than a cream, which is the practical difference: it stays slippery long enough to actually massage with. 100ml is a few months of regular use. We describe what it is; claims about what it does are the manufacturer's, not ours.

A two-inch textured rubber ball from TriggerPoint, sized to work underfoot.
Goes well with Massage & Bodywork · Sleep & Recovery · Fitness & Movement
Why we picked it
Two inches is the size that fits the arch of a foot, which is what separates it from a plain lacrosse ball. The texture grips the floor instead of skidding away. The cheapest way into self-massage tools and the one most likely to get used.

A handheld percussive massager with five speeds and a 10mm stroke.
Goes well with Massage & Bodywork · Sleep & Recovery
Why we picked it
10mm is the shallow end of the range, which makes it quieter and lighter than the deep-stroke guns and easier to hold at arm's length. Five speeds is more than most people ever use. Light enough to travel with.
