I started seeing Chris for some ongoing lower back issues and muscle tightness that were really starting to limit my progress in the gym. It had reached a point where I felt stuck, constantly working around discomfort instead of improving. From the very beginning, Chris took a thorough and thoughtful approach, breaking things down in a way that made it easy to understand what was actually going on. He introduced me to a range of stretches—static, isometric, and dynamic—and took the time to explain each one in detail. What really stood out was how he explained the physiology behind everything, including which muscle groups were being targeted and why certain movements mattered. That deeper understanding made it much easier to stay consistent and intentional with the work. As I progressed, we shifted focus toward improving my main lifts—bench press, squats, and deadlifts—which I had felt stuck on for quite a while. Chris placed a huge emphasis on proper technique and movement quality, making small but important adjustments that completely changed how the lifts felt. It wasn’t about rushing progress but building it the right way. The results have honestly been huge. I’ve moved well beyond my previous limits, and more importantly, I’m doing it completely pain-free—something I hadn’t experienced in a long time. I genuinely can’t recommend Chris enough if you’re looking to improve your health, fitness, and overall understanding of how your body works and moves together. It’s been a game changer for me.

I highly recommend Reload Strength Clinic. Chris was incredibly helpful throughout my recovery. I’ve been dealing with two slipped discs in my lower back, and thanks to his knowledge, guidance, and tailored approach, I’m now moving better than ever. He takes the time to understand your situation and genuinely cares about getting you back to your best. If you’re dealing with injuries or pain and want real results, this is the place to go.

Chris has taught me the correct lifting techniques for major compound lifts which has allowed me to progress seamlessly. I was having issues with my shoulder from an old jiu-jitsu injury as well as issues with my hip flexors and hamstrings which were affecting my depth in exercises such as squats and deadlifts. With his expertise he has helped me correct my form, improve my depth and tightness as well as the issues I’ve had with my shoulder. I highly recommend seeing Chris for any injury management and rehabilitation or if you’re looking to improve your technique and form across your lifts and mitigate any potential injuries!

I started seeing Chris after feeling stuck with little improvement from physiotherapy and chiropractic treatments. Within just two months, I’ve experienced a significant reduction in pain and feel much stronger overall. I'm now genuinely excited about the progress ahead and grateful for the care and results so far!

Life-Changing Support for Lifters at Any Level I was referred to see an exercise physiologist and a physio by my GP after experiencing persistent sharp pain in my shoulder and pec area—bad enough that I couldn’t do any upper body work or barbell squat (safety bar only). Scans showed no tears but confirmed acute inflammation, including an inflamed bursa sac. While the physio provided a couple of exercises, it didn’t address technique, warm-ups, or the broader context of my training. I’ve been lifting for over 15 years and never experienced this kind of setback. Chris was a game changer. He carried out a detailed initial consultation and assessment, identified weaknesses, and built out a comprehensive warm-up protocol tailored to my specific needs. We went through each movement to refine form, and this alone helped eliminate the pain. It also strengthened key areas that had been neglected. We then turned to technique – particularly my bench press. I’d been working towards a 180kg knees-up, no leg drive bench before the injury. Chris completely overhauled my setup, grip width, and bar path. I hadn’t been able to bench for weeks without pain or the feeling I was going to tear something, but under Chris’s guidance, I was pain-free both during and after our session. I did flare things up again afterwards by going too hard on shoulder work, but I followed the warm-up protocol the next day and the issue resolved. That was a real turning point. I was so impressed that I asked Chris to help with my squats—another long-term issue due to elbow/wrist pain. That same evening I barbell squatted pain-free for the first time in ages. I’m getting a custom training programme from Chris as well, based on the progress we’ve made and what’s most relevant to my goals. The thing is, there's a tonne of information online—but knowing what’s right for you is the hard part. Chris cuts through the noise. He’s helped me with other key lifts like deadlifts and barbell overhead presses too. The improvements have been immediate and lasting. I’m not a powerlifter or bodybuilder, I just enjoy lifting heavy and pushing myself hard. Chris gets that. He understands how important it is to lift not just well, but for life. I’m heading away for a few months, but I’ll be back to revisit the areas we’ve worked on. I can’t recommend Chris highly enough. Whether you’re just starting out or have been training for years, working with him is 100% worth it.
