Read all on GoogleMega gratitude to Amanda, for her support and treatment of my daughter- who has CFS, POTS and a multitude of related issues-cure seems so subjective to the individual-we had tried numerous methods to assist and failed over the last 6 years of her illness. We found out about the Perrin Technique via a support group - and thought lets give it a try- I am sooooo happy that my daughter has found a treatment that has made her improve, she had been deteriorating before treatment and we wanted to at least stop this - thankfully she has majorly improved in 5 months - fingers crossed for a full recovery 😍 Thank you soooo much ☺️
They are nice people at West Perth Osteopathy. However, the Perrin Technique (for ME/CFS) can backfire. It's expected that one might feel worse for a time, and the first Osteopath I saw suggested that this might last for three to four months. After almost eight months and two different Osteopaths, I was still feeling sicker than when I started. Family and friends said I should stop doing this to myself, and at that point I pulled the plug. More than 12 months later, I have still not recovered to the level I was at before starting the treatment. I suggest that people who want to try the Perrin Technique should have a clear exit strategy if things are going badly, rather than continuing to push through worsening symptoms for an indefinite period. Hopefully, we will see some controlled studies before too long. 23/1/2026: Ray, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, you set the expectation that I might feel worse for three to four months before starting to see benefits from the treatment. When I was still feeling worse after almost eight months, that left me with an agonising choice regarding whether to continue or not. I can't overstate the importance of published, peer-reviewed studies, even the kind of initial study that you describe. Then, people in the wider community can appraise the expected results, including the risk of feeling worse.
I have seen the osteo Alan at West Perth Osteotherapy. He has always healed my back his service is nothing short of amazing so good. Ive seen chiros an physios never had better healing than what i have experienced with Alan. I am a bricklayer and have played lots of sport an been in the army, i know about injury. I have hurt myself an had a journey of finding what works and for me it is osteo, the best being Alan. He is my go to man for me or my kids if we are injured.
I've trusted the team at West Perth Osteo to look after me since 2018 and couldn't be happier with the care and treatment I've received here over the years. The reception team are really helpful and will always try and get you in or on waitlist to get you seen as soon as possible. Kate and Laura are fantastic osteos and I would (and frequently do!) recommend them to anyone who is dealing with anything from injury to aches and pains.
My partner goes here for the Perrin technique to help with her chronic fatigue syndrome, Amanda is truly amazing at what she does and the knowledge she has on the condition is unmatched! My partner has gone to a number of sessions and there is definitely an improvement on her quality of life and energy levels, this is thanks to Amanda! It doesn’t work for everyone and some people take longer than others to notice any benefits but it’s certainly worth a go if you struggle with these conditions as you might drastically improve your quality of life. Thank you Amanda you’ve truly made a difference!
