Online health & Allied Health in Perth — listings

Advanced Functional Medicine — Health & Allied Health in Palmyra

A functional medicine clinic in Palmyra whose health coaching sits alongside its practitioner consultations: the coach's part is behaviour change and helping people actually carry out the protocol they have been given. Coaches are certified through the Kresser Institute. Appointments are available in the Palmyra rooms or by telehealth nationally, and the group runs telehealth-only clinics in several other capitals.

Body Genius Institute — Health & Allied Health in South Perth

A multi-disciplinary practice whose wellness coaching starts with a 20 to 30 minute consultation with an integrative health practitioner, taken face to face, by phone or by video. Coaching runs beside the clinic's other rooms — functional medicine, movement coaching, physiotherapy, chiropractic, acupuncture and massage — so a coaching client can be referred sideways without leaving the building. Open weekdays from 6.30am to 6pm.

How health & allied health is taught in Perth

This is the registered end of the directory. Physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, occupational therapists and podiatrists are all registered with AHPRA and searchable by name on the public register. Exercise physiologists, dietitians and speech pathologists sit outside that scheme and are credentialed by their own bodies instead — ESSA, Dietitians Australia and Speech Pathology Australia respectively.

You don’t need a referral to book privately with any of them. A referral matters only for Medicare-subsidised appointments under a GP care plan, and for some workers’ compensation and NDIS arrangements. First appointments run longer than follow-ups — usually 45 to 60 minutes against 20 or 30 — because they start with history and assessment.

Most clinics have HICAPS terminals, so an extras rebate comes off at the counter rather than weeks later. Worth asking when you book: whether you’ll see the same practitioner each visit, and whether the clinic bulk-bills anything at all.

Related: physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, bodywork and massage.
