Achieving my health and fitness goals has been about finding the right trainers. Great trainers know their stuff, care, listen and encourage you. They teach you to appreciate just how amazing our bodies are and what they are capable of. When I returned to the gym 12 months ago I knew all this was available at Conan so i didn’t need to look elsewhere. They are the best and care about your goals. I have been training with Rolly at Conan since my return and I am the strongest and healthiest I have been in nearly a decade. Highly recommend 👏👏

How these ratings work
These bars are a guide, not a score of this business. Each starts from Oria Haven’s profile of Personal training as a kind of session, then is adjusted by facts stored on this listing: its price band, its group size and whether it welcomes beginners.
Nobody has rated this particular venue in person, and reviews are not fed in. Where we have no fact about this listing behind a bar — for example how many people share the room — we leave that bar out rather than guess.
They describe the room — how quiet, how physical, how many people — never what a session is supposed to do for you.

Excellent personal trainers, great group classes at convenient times. Conan is a great gym, most suited to busy people with limited time. The group classes are focused and intense (not too much though). The personal trainers know what they are doing. The members are friendly. Their main focus is functional strength balanced with some cardio. Recommended if you work full time and have a lot of other demands on your time.
Gets my vote!! It’s a gym where I feel comfortable to be myself. Friendly staff, down to earth vibe that attracts people of all ages. Great atmosphere in the group classes with everything from circuit to boot camp. I am fitter and stronger now than I was in my forties. Thank you Conan 💪 Sonia

IllustrationA short, firm foam roller in moulded polypropylene. Small enough to keep beside the mat or take to class.
Everyday useGoes well with Sleep & Recovery · Fitness & Movement
Why we picked it
A roller does not need to be clever. It needs to be firm enough to hold its shape and short enough that you actually use it. This is the plain, inexpensive one, and the 30cm length is the right size for calves, thighs and the upper back without taking over the room.

A two-inch textured rubber ball from TriggerPoint, sized to work underfoot.
Goes well with Massage & Bodywork · Sleep & Recovery · Fitness & Movement
Why we picked it
Two inches is the size that fits the arch of a foot, which is what separates it from a plain lacrosse ball. The texture grips the floor instead of skidding away. The cheapest way into self-massage tools and the one most likely to get used.

A yoga mat printed with alignment lines for placing hands and feet.
Goes well with Yoga
Why we picked it
The lines are the whole point. They give you something to check against when you cannot see your own posture and there is no teacher watching, which makes this a mat for practising alone at home rather than in a studio.
