A waterfall on Beedelup Brook in Greater Beedelup National Park, reached by a 300-metre walk from the car park that crosses a suspension bridge, with an accessible lookout. The 4.5-kilometre loop through karri forest to Karri Valley Resort and the Walk-Through Tree is rated moderately hard. The falls run best in winter and early spring. Park entry is $17 a car, and dogs are not allowed.

A Belarusian banya on Browns Road, Pemberton, run the traditional way: steam, veniki — bundles of leafy branches worked over the skin — a cold plunge and Ivan tea. Social sessions run on set dates, at sunset or paired with lunch or dinner from the Belarusian kitchen on site, from $70 an adult. Private banya runs any day by appointment. Booking is essential, and deposits are not refunded.
Adults-only accommodation in forest about ten minutes from Pemberton, built around private spa time rather than treatments: four units, each with its own jacuzzi or outdoor spa bath, and three with a sauna. The Spa Cottage is a converted vintage rail carriage, and two of the suites look across to Warren National Park. Rates start from $330. Phone reception is limited and some units have no wifi.
A swimming hole on Lefroy Brook in Pemberton Forest Park, built in the late 1920s for timber workers' families and free to use, with public toilets and barbecues alongside and the mountain bike park next door. The floating saunas sit on the same water. The pool was closed for a time in March 2026 after trees were felled into it, so check access with the Pemberton Visitor Centre before a special trip.
A dam in the karri of Big Brook State Forest with a sandy beach for swimming, a sealed four-kilometre walk around the water that suits strollers and wheelchairs, and toilets, a shelter and picnic tables. Entry is free and the dam is stocked with trout. Dogs are allowed on a lead but not on the beach, and there is no camping at the dam itself — the Big Brook Arboretum campground is nearby.
Two wood-fired saunas built from Finnish cedar, floating on Pemberton Pool in the karri forest, each with a floor-to-ceiling window over the water — and the cold plunge is the pool itself. Shared one-hour sessions take up to six people, private hire is available, and sessions run 7am to 9pm daily. The site is off-grid with no toilets, so bring towels, water and a change of clothes.
A day spa and boutique retreat on Caves Road, set across bushland, vineyard and farmland between Yallingup and Dunsborough. You can book the spa on its own or stay, which is what most people down for a weekend end up doing.
How Oria chooses these retreats, nature & experiences places
Oria Haven lists 7 wellness practices under Retreats, Nature & Experiences in Margaret River, across 2 suburbs. Four publish a price band, and the most common is $25–60 (2 of them). Two of the 7 run sessions that are free or by donation.
2 places here publish a starting price, from $55 to $70.
3 of these specialise in retreats, nature & experiences — it is their main focus. The other 4 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 8 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.
The guide
Before you go: retreats, nature & experiences in Perth
A day retreat and a bushwalk are both on this page, and the difference between them is mostly how much of your day is planned for you.
Day retreats run four to eight hours in one place, usually with food, and combine two or three of movement, sitting, sound and rest. Weekend retreats add accommodation and a second morning, which is where most of the value is. Guided walks and forest bathing sessions are shorter and cheaper and generally ask nothing of your fitness beyond being able to walk for an hour or two. Surf and ocean sessions are the ones with actual conditions attached, and they get moved.
On practicalities: retreats book out further ahead than anything else in the directory, and the small ones fill first because they are small. Read what is included before comparing prices — accommodation, meals and transfers move the number a long way. For anything outdoors in Perth, check the forecast and the fire danger rating the day before, and expect a change of plan in summer.

It captures the setting and the whole hot–cold ritual — including the dive that deserves a word of caution.

How does Oria Haven choose which practices to list?
We build the directory ourselves rather than taking paid submissions, so a practice appears because it exists and serves Margaret River — not because it paid. Practices can claim their listing for nothing and keep it accurate, photos included. Paid plans add booking links, offers and visitor stats. We never take a cut of bookings, and enquiries go straight to the practice.
