A waterfall on Beedelup Brook in Greater Beedelup National Park, reached by a 300-metre walk from the car park that crosses a suspension bridge, with an accessible lookout. A Belarusian banya on Browns Road, Pemberton, run the traditional way: steam, veniki — bundles of leafy branches worked over the skin — a cold plunge and Ivan tea. Social sessions run on set dates, at sunset or paired with lunch or dinner from the Belarusian kitchen on site, from $70 an adult. Private banya runs any day by appointment. Booking is essential, and deposits are not refunded.
A swimming hole on Lefroy Brook in Pemberton Forest Park, built in the late 1920s for timber workers' families and free to use, with public toilets and barbecues alongside and the mountain bike park next door. The floating saunas sit on the same water. The pool was closed for a time in March 2026 after trees were felled into it, so check access with the Pemberton Visitor Centre before a special trip.
A dam in the karri of Big Brook State Forest with a sandy beach for swimming, a sealed four-kilometre walk around the water that suits strollers and wheelchairs, and toilets, a shelter and picnic tables. Entry is free and the dam is stocked with trout. Dogs are allowed on a lead but not on the beach, and there is no camping at the dam itself — the Big Brook Arboretum campground is nearby.
Two wood-fired saunas built from Finnish cedar, floating on Pemberton Pool in the karri forest, each with a floor-to-ceiling window over the water — and the cold plunge is the pool itself. Shared one-hour sessions take up to six people, private hire is available, and sessions run 7am to 9pm daily. The site is off-grid with no toilets, so bring towels, water and a change of clothes.
How Oria chooses these nature & outdoor wellness places
Oria Haven lists 5 wellness practices under Nature & Outdoor Wellness in Margaret River. Three publish a price band, and the most common is $25–60 (2 of them). Two of the 5 run sessions that are free or by donation.
2 places here publish a starting price, from $55 to $70.
3 of these specialise in nature & outdoor wellness — it is their main focus. The other 2 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 8 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.
The guide
Before you go: nature & outdoor wellness in Perth
A good deal of this category is free. Bushwalking clubs and Heart Foundation walking groups run scheduled walks across the metro at no cost beyond turning up, and park-based tai chi and outdoor fitness groups sit at the cheap end of everything else in the directory.
Beyond the walking: forest bathing sessions that move slowly through bushland with a guide, surf and ocean programmes run off the northern and western beaches, and equine-assisted sessions on properties out past Oakford and Byford — those last ones are booked by appointment, not dropped into.
The scheduling constraint is the Perth summer. From December to March almost everything outdoors runs early morning or after five, and groups that walk the Hills shift their start times by the month. Winter is when the Bibbulmun-adjacent walks and the Hills trails come into their own. Check the weather rather than the calendar, and bring more water than looks necessary.
Our guide covers where to sit outdoors, season by season. Related: hiking and bushwalking, eco therapy, retreats and day escapes.

About the Reel
The Reel, from Australia’s South West, introduces the floating sauna at Pemberton Pool: two wood-fired sauna rooms on the water with big windows onto the karri forest, and the ritual its caption describes — warm up, step outside into the pool, and repeat.

It captures the setting and the whole hot–cold ritual — including the dive that deserves a word of caution.

We build the directory ourselves rather than taking paid submissions, so a practice appears because it exists and serves Margaret River — not because it paid. Practices can claim their listing for nothing and keep it accurate, photos included. Paid plans add booking links, offers and visitor stats. We never take a cut of bookings, and enquiries go straight to the practice.
