Infrared sauna and ice bath on Dunsborough Lakes Drive, booked by the session. Straightforward heat and cold with none of the day-spa framing, which is the appeal.
A recovery room in the middle of town with both saunas — traditional Finnish and infrared — alongside a hot plunge and an ice bath. Massage is booked separately. Being on Bussell Highway makes it the one you can walk to rather than drive to.
A treatment room in the middle of Margaret River offering massage and facials, with a private infrared sauna that can be booked alongside a treatment or on its own. Closer to a small day spa than a clinic.

How Oria chooses these spa & recovery places
4 of the 16 spa & recovery listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.
As of October 2026, 4 of the 16 Spa & Recovery listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Margaret River) — counted live from the directory.
3 of these specialise in spa & recovery — it is their main focus. The other 1 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 8 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.
The guide
Before you go: Infrared Saunas in the Margaret River region
Most are recovery studios, where the sauna sits beside an ice bath, red light or compression boots and can be booked with them. The rest are day spas and float centres that offer it alongside other treatments, plus a few physio and Pilates studios. One Claremont clinic uses a one-person pod with your head outside instead of a cabin.
Where a single-session price is published, thirty minutes costs $25 to $40 at most places, and $25 at studios in Beldon and Cockburn Central. Forty-five minutes is usually $35 to $50. Bringing a second person into the cabin generally adds $10 to $30 rather than doubling the price. Several studios publish only packs or memberships, and sauna-and-ice-bath sessions are priced separately. Prices were checked on the places' own websites in October 2026, and each place sets its own, so check before you book.
Because most cabins are private, light clothing, swimwear or a towel is the norm. Bring water, and check whether towels are supplied. Oria Haven is a directory, not a health service. If you have a health concern, or you're pregnant or unsure, speak with your GP or a registered practitioner before you book.

About the Reel
The Reel, from Australia’s South West, introduces the floating sauna at Pemberton Pool: two wood-fired sauna rooms on the water with big windows onto the karri forest, and the ritual its caption describes — warm up, step outside into the pool, and repeat.

It captures the setting and the whole hot–cold ritual — including the dive that deserves a word of caution.

Your first visit
Your first infrared sauna, made simple.
A little preparation helps you know what to expect. Here’s what to check before booking and how a visit may unfold.
- Booking length 30–60 minutes 30 minutes is the most common booking
- Private or shared? Check the session format 15 of 25 venues we checked say sessions are private
- New to sauna? Say it’s your first visit Ask what they suggest for a first session

From arrival to heading home
-
Before your visit
- Check the venue’s arrival instructions and what your booking includes. At some venues the booked time is room time, so arriving late shortens it.
- Check what to wear, and whether towels are supplied, hired or brought from home.
- Ask whether the room is private, and for how many people.
-
When you arrive
- Ask staff to show you the room, the controls and how to get help if you need it.
- Confirm what’s included, such as towels or a shower.
- You can step out whenever you like. The booked time is not a target.
-
Before you leave
- Follow the venue’s changing and checkout arrangements.
- Check whether there’s a shower rather than assuming. Only 6 of 23 venues we checked mention one.
- Collect your belongings, and take your time before you head off.
A little preparation
-
Clothing Check what your venue asks you to wear. Swimmers or light gym clothes are common; some private rooms allow a towel only.
-
Towels Supplied at some venues and extra at others, about $5 where charged. Most don’t say, so ask.
-
Personal items Water and a change of clothes, plus anything on the venue’s own list.
-
Booking details Keep your session time and the arrival instructions handy.
Three things to check when booking
- Is the room private, and who is the booking for?
- Are towels, showers or other facilities included?
- Does the booking time include changing and setup?
This describes what these sessions are generally like, not any one venue on this page. Facilities and policies vary, so check anything that matters to you with the venue before you book.

Infrared sauna in the Margaret River region — common questions
How much does an infrared sauna cost in the Margaret River region?
Where a single-session price is published, thirty minutes costs $25 to $40 at most places, and forty-five minutes $35 to $50. The lowest published price is $25 for thirty minutes, at Zen Zone in Beldon and Rhema Wellness Studio in Cockburn Central. Prices checked October 2026 on the places' own websites.
Can two people share an infrared sauna?
Yes, at many places. Published two-person prices for thirty minutes include $40 at Zen Zone, $44 at The Neighbourhood Sauna, $45 at Rhema Wellness Studio and $50 at Salt Float Studio.
Is an infrared sauna the same as a traditional sauna?
No. A traditional sauna heats the air in a wood-lined room and runs much hotter, often as a shared room. An infrared cabin runs at a lower air temperature, is usually private, and sessions tend to be longer. Our infrared vs traditional sauna comparison sets them side by side.
Where can I do an infrared sauna and ice bath together?
Many recovery studios sell the two as one session. Locked In Recovery in Warwick, for example, publishes sixty minutes of sauna and ice bath for $45. The ice bath and sauna page lists every place that offers both.
