A destination day spa on Koorabin Drive with six treatment rooms, five of them couples' suites, plus an infrared sauna, hydrotherapy baths and a studio for yoga and meditation looking onto water. Built for a half day rather than an hour.

Infrared sauna and ice bath on Dunsborough Lakes Drive, booked by the session. Straightforward heat and cold with none of the day-spa framing, which is the appeal.
A wood-fired Finnish sauna on wheels, run by a Finnish and German couple, moving around the Margaret River area with cold plunge and breathwork sessions. Wood-fired rather than electric, which is a different heat and the reason people seek it out.
A recovery room in the middle of town with both saunas — traditional Finnish and infrared — alongside a hot plunge and an ice bath. Massage is booked separately. Being on Bussell Highway makes it the one you can walk to rather than drive to.
Adults-only accommodation in forest about ten minutes from Pemberton, built around private spa time rather than treatments: four units, each with its own jacuzzi or outdoor spa bath, and three with a sauna. The Spa Cottage is a converted vintage rail carriage, and two of the suites look across to Warren National Park. Rates start from $330. Phone reception is limited and some units have no wifi.
A mobile sauna parked at the Rivermouth carpark, so the cold plunge is the Indian Ocean rather than a tub. Sweat, walk down, get in, repeat. Check the schedule before driving out — it moves.
A treatment room in the middle of Margaret River offering massage and facials, with a private infrared sauna that can be booked alongside a treatment or on its own. Closer to a small day spa than a clinic.

How Oria chooses these spa & recovery places
7 of the 16 spa & recovery listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.
As of October 2026, 7 of the 16 Spa & Recovery listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Margaret River) — counted live from the directory.
6 of these specialise in spa & recovery — it is their main focus. The other 1 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 9 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.
The guide
Worth knowing
Most places sell sauna time as a timed block, and many pair it with a cold plunge or ice bath in the same visit. Where a place publishes its session length and price, the listing shows it; where it doesn't, the listing says so rather than guessing.
Check whether the room is private or shared before booking, and whether towels are provided. Both vary from place to place, and both are on each place's own website.

About the Reel
The Reel, from Australia’s South West, introduces the floating sauna at Pemberton Pool: two wood-fired sauna rooms on the water with big windows onto the karri forest, and the ritual its caption describes — warm up, step outside into the pool, and repeat.

Saunas in the Margaret River region — common questions
How much does a sauna session cost in the Margaret River region?
Where it's published: from about $25 for thirty minutes and about $35 to $45 for an hour, less for early-morning sessions at some rooms. At hotel and day spas the sauna usually comes with a treatment or a day visit rather than being sold on its own. Packs and memberships lower the per-visit price at most sauna studios.
What's the difference between a traditional and an infrared sauna?
A traditional sauna, often Finnish-style, heats the air in a wood-lined room. An infrared sauna uses infrared panels and runs at a lower air temperature, so sessions tend to be longer. Both are listed here, and each listing says which it has.
Are there private saunas in the Margaret River region?
Yes. Several places book a sauna room for one or two people, or hire it out to a group, rather than sharing it. Others run communal sessions, including beachside saunas and bathhouses.
Where can I do a sauna and ice bath together?
Most dedicated sauna studios have a cold plunge or ice bath too. The places set up to alternate the two in one session are listed under Ice bath & sauna together (contrast therapy).
