I attended a Blue Lotus ceremony with Amy and it truly opened something within me. I felt my masculine energy soften, and in the stillness of the void, answers I had been seeking began to flow through my being with clarity and ease. It was such a beautiful, intentional ceremony. Amy holds a grounded yet expansive space, and I walked away not only feeling shifted, but also having learned new ways to consciously work with the lotus in my own practice. I would absolutely do it again and highly recommend the experience to anyone feeling called.

How these ratings work
These bars are a guide, not a score of this business. Each starts from Oria Haven’s profile of Yoga as a kind of session, then is adjusted by facts stored on this listing: its price band, its group size and whether it welcomes beginners.
Nobody has rated this particular venue in person, and reviews are not fed in. Where we have no fact about this listing behind a bar — for example how many people share the room — we leave that bar out rather than guess.
They describe the room — how quiet, how physical, how many people — never what a session is supposed to do for you.

Amy is one of the most incredible holistic healers I’ve come across. She holds such beautiful space for 1:1 sessions to sound healings. I cannot recommend her enough and forever grateful for discovering such a beautiful human who gives so much love and support to her clients 🥰🩷
I took a yoga therapy class with Diana and it was all my body needed. Diana is very knowable and the class is long enough to feel relief after. I strongly recommend her . You will learn lots about breathing and posture.

IllustrationA crescent zafu filled with buckwheat hulls, with a washable cotton cover and a carry handle. Sits you a little higher than the floor so the knees drop and the back stays upright.

Why we picked it
The thing most people are missing when they say they cannot sit still is a cushion of the right height. A crescent shape gives the thighs somewhere to go, and buckwheat can be added or taken out until it is yours. It is the first thing we would put in a meditation corner.
IllustrationA rectangular bolster with a firm core and a soft surface, handmade in the USA. The shape used in restorative and yin classes.

Why we picked it
Restorative yoga is mostly the art of being held up by the right prop, and a bolster is the prop. Hugger Mugger's has been the studio standard for decades because the core does not go soft. Under the knees, along the spine, or across the lap for a long sit.

Why we picked it
The one meditation book we would hand to someone who has never sat down to meditate. The chapters are two or three pages each, secular in tone, and you can open it anywhere. Thirty years on it is still the plainest introduction there is.
