The Buddhist Society of WA's city centre, fifteen minutes north of the CBD, running free guided meditation several times a week alongside Friday dhamma talks and WA's largest Buddhist library. A free weekly community meditation held outdoors at Bathers Beach in Fremantle, meeting at the hut in front of the art centre on Mews Road. Sessions start at 6.30am each Saturday and follow three steps: a welcome circle, a 20-minute meditation combining mindfulness, breath and gratitude, then a closing circle. Trained volunteer facilitators lead each session. It is free, open to beginners and experienced meditators, has no religious affiliation and needs no registration.
A small studio within the Sanctuary Wellness Collective on Wood Street, Fremantle, founded by Amy and run as a collective of women practitioners. The published programme includes a fortnightly Monday meditation and sound bath from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, a weekly Thursday evening stretch class, and monthly sound bath and yoga events. Practitioners also offer one-on-one sessions in reiki, breathwork, yoga therapy, kinesiology and remedial massage, by appointment.
Elaine MacLeod has run The Peace Practice since 2016, working in the Usui/Holy Fire and Karuna Reiki systems from her Mount Lawley studio. One-to-one reiki sessions run in person or at distance, alongside reiki training workshops, space clearing, and reiki-infused meditation mini-courses. Bookings are online; gift vouchers available.
Pranayama breathwork classes and guided meditation in Perth, with studio sessions and events running thirty to ninety minutes and one-on-one sessions shaped to the person. A small practice built on collaboration with other local facilitators.
Euphemia teaches small-group workshops from Hamilton Hill: Reiki levels one to three ($200–$390), a six-week Awaken & Raise Your Vibration course ($320), a reiki and chakra balancing weekend ($350) and a $30 pendulum workshop, with online meditation and journaling at $10 a week. Healing sessions include sound meditation, clairvoyant readings and aura drawings.
Charley has taught for over two decades from shared studio spaces in Applecross, Bateman and Hilton, with a practice built deliberately for stiff mornings and old injuries rather than for people who already bend easily. Gentle therapeutic yoga, strength work, mindfulness and meditation, plus private yoga-therapy sessions, seniors classes and online options. Registered as a Yoga Therapist with both Yoga Australia and IAYT, and a Level 3 teacher.
A retreat centre on ten acres of bushland in the Perth hills, with a seasonal creek, native forest and an octagonal yoga shala. Alongside weekly classes it runs a monthly one-day silent retreat, longer weekend retreats through the year, self-guided personal retreat stays and long-form teacher training. Retreat days fold in bush walks on the property.
A Milne Street studio that runs a Mysore room alongside a general timetable, which is less common in Perth than the number of yoga studios would suggest. Ashtanga Led covers the half primary series in seventy-five minutes and the studio asks you to do its Ashtanga Foundations course first. The rest of the week is softer — Mellow, Linger Longer, Dynamic Flow, and Yin by candlelight.
The Western Australian licensee for Master Choa Kok Sui's pranic healing system, affiliated with the Institute for Inner Studies. Runs pranic healing sessions and the full course ladder — Basic through Advanced, Pranic Psychotherapy, Psychic Self Defence, Feng Shui and Crystal levels — plus weekly Meditation on Twin Hearts and monthly full-moon meditations at venues around Perth.
The Centre for Attitudinal Healing's bush retreat an hour south-east of Perth, used by community groups, families and teams. Accommodation runs from a cottage to shared quarters for 23 or 46, with a hall for meetings and meditation, a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor meeting grove, a winter bonfire area and walking trails through the property. Published rates: cottage $500 a night, the 23-bed wing $1,600, the 46-bed wing $3,000, and hall hire $500 a day Monday to Thursday.
Weekly crystal-bowl sound journeys at three venues across the metro — Trigg by the beach midweek and Sunday, with Fremantle and Victoria Park sessions on Sundays. Casual drop-ins run $44 and a three-session intro pack takes the edge off deciding. A guided meditation opens each session before the bowls take over.
Tamara's long-running school across Claremont and Bibra Lake studios plus online: vinyasa and yin through to meditation, soundbath classes that settle into yoga nidra, restorative work, and courses for pregnancy, children and trauma-informed practice. Unlimited membership at $49 a week, a three-week unlimited intro for newcomers, and 150- and 350-hour teacher trainings for those going deeper.
Three rooms across the metro — East Victoria Park, Joondalup and Butler — mixing hot yoga, yin and reformer Pilates, with a yin-plus-sound-bath meditation class that ends the week slowly. The northern studios run a $89 twenty-day unlimited intro across reformer and mat classes.
A yoga and Pilates studio on Scarborough Beach Road, upstairs from Jetts Gym with entry from the car park. It runs more than 60 classes a week across yoga, mat and reformer Pilates, breathwork, meditation and sound bath sessions, plus family-friendly yoga classes. A casual yoga class is $29 and a casual reformer class is $37, with class packs, weekly memberships and intro passes also available. Bookings are made through Mindbody.
How Oria chooses these mind & mental wellbeing places
15 of the 80 mind & mental wellbeing listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.
As of October 2026, 15 of the 80 Mind & Mental Wellbeing listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Perth) — counted live from the directory.
5 places here publish a starting price, from $25 to $89. The median is $44.
5 of these specialise in mind & mental wellbeing — it is their main focus. The other 10 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 8 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.

The guide
Before you go: mind & mental wellbeing in Perth
Three quite different things share this shelf, and timetables rarely say which one you are booking.
Meditation classes are usually guided sittings — someone talks, you sit, it lasts half an hour to an hour. Mindfulness is more often taught as a course over six or eight weeks with the same group each time, and the practice is homework between sessions rather than the session itself. Breathwork is the physically demanding one: sustained patterned breathing that can leave your hands tingling and your emotions closer to the surface than you expected. Counselling and coaching are one-to-one and booked like an appointment.
On practicalities: several Perth sittings are free or by donation, and those tend to be the volunteer-run ones rather than the studios. Courses ask you to commit to the whole run and usually cost less per session than dropping in. Breathwork facilitators generally ask about pregnancy, heart conditions and epilepsy before a first session, so expect that question and answer it honestly.
Related: meditation classes, mindfulness coaching, breathwork, counselling, and yoga and movement.

Your first visit
What to expect at your first meditation session
A guided session in a quiet room. Someone talks, you sit, and that is most of it.
- Session length 30–60 min
- Group size 5–30
- Experience needed None
From arrival to heading home
-
Before your visit
- Five to ten minutes early. Latecomers are sometimes not admitted once a session has started, because the door disturbs the room.
- Anything comfortable you can sit still in for half an hour. Layers — sitting still gets cold.
-
During the session
- People arrive quietly and choose a cushion or a chair. Chairs are always available and using one is not a lesser option.
- A short introduction, often a few words on what the session will involve.
- The guide talks you through it — attention on the breath, the body, or a repeated phrase, depending on the tradition.
- Your mind will wander constantly. Noticing that and coming back is the practice, not a failure at it.
- A few minutes at the end to sit before anyone speaks or moves.
A little preparation
-
What to bring Nothing. Cushions, chairs and blankets are provided.

How does Oria Haven choose which practices to list?
We build the directory ourselves rather than taking paid submissions, so a practice appears because it exists and serves Perth — not because it paid. Practices can claim their listing for nothing and keep it accurate, photos included. Paid plans add booking links, offers and visitor stats. We never take a cut of bookings, and enquiries go straight to the practice.
