Read all on GoogleThe South Perth Senior Centre has gone downhill massively, unlike the times when Margaret was running it. At times, only 8 - 12 Seniors attend in the entire Hall, and not much is done about it. It feels dead, no atmosphere either and no cheerful welcomes whatsoever. The kitchen volunteers do a stirling job, I'd give them 5* however in other areas such as Admin and volunteer book keeping it’s riddled with insecurities, a toxic atmosphere and no class, IMO. The bus volunteer, Tim is the only one with a neutral attitude, many others are women - enough said... If, due to a "celebration", more people do attend it's because they're mostly invited from the Local Office or so, not due to popularity, like it used to be. I'm glad I found alternative activities near me with a much kinder and friendlier atmosphere (since no management or insecure book keeper is involved) such as Canasta, Mahjong & Meditation, all free of charge, so I shall never look back. If ever we feel like a meal, there is a nice Cafe within walking distance. I regret having had to pay $25 for each celebration meal - normally $20. It's seemingly to support the extra invitees and volunteers, or just for an extra half a glass of cheap wine/juice. BUT the main volunteers who contribute towards the success of the weekly meals and celebrations are purely left to look at the food they worked so hard for and serve! They would not be allowed to have ANY of it, unless there are left overs - quite incomprehensible. Yes, they get treated to a free meal but only once a year, so it seems.. Even the parking situation is horrendous. I'd personally avoid it at all times unless one enjoys wasting their time on a boring get together... Best wishes to all, may you thrive and survive at all times.
Great facilities. Lovely hall. 'Singercise', an energetic singing group held on Wednesdays at 11:45am, is a great way to meet new people and visit the songs you grew up with 😀

Absolutely wonderfulthe staff and volunteers are so kind my first visit of many I hope xx
Loved the fact you offer lovely community activities but your building is old and cluttered.
