If only a one star review were possible. I saw Dr Anna Clare for a second opinion regarding my endometriosis and adenomyosis, and it was one of the most dismissive medical experiences I’ve had. From the beginning of the appointment, she appeared completely uninterested in what I had to say. She barely looked up at me while I was speaking and made me feel like my concerns were an inconvenience rather than legitimate chronic health issues. The consultation felt cold, rushed, and lacking in even basic empathy. The most upsetting part was being told: “People with pelvic pain often just have to learn to manage for the rest of their life. If you’re looking for a magic pill, you’ll be looking for a very long time.” While I understand there is no simple cure for conditions like endometriosis and adenomyosis, I did not attend the appointment expecting a “magic pill” I attended hoping for a second opinion with guidance, compassion, and a specialist willing to discuss meaningful management options. Instead, I left feeling dismissed, unsupported, and genuinely worse than when I walked in. No real solutions or helpful advice were offered, and there was little effort made to provide reassurance or patient-centred care. Even if there was ultimately nothing further she could offer me medically, I still would have appreciated being treated with compassion, empathy, and basic respect. Bedside manner can make an enormous difference. The end of the appointment felt abrupt and impersonal she remained seated, eyes locked to her laptop and did not even properly acknowledge me as I left, telling me to “take care” so I’d get to message to leave. For anyone dealing with chronic pelvic pain, bedside manner matters enormously. Unfortunately, this experience lacked compassion, professionalism, and basic respect. I would never recommend Dr Anna Clare to anyone seeking care for endometriosis, adenomyosis, or pelvic pain. I genuinely hope she reads this review and reflects on the way she speaks to and treats vulnerable patients, because no one seeking help for chronic pain should leave an appointment feeling belittled or dismissed. I also do not believe the level of “care” and “service” I received was remotely worth the $330 consultation fee.

I (like many others) had a very difficult time arranging a booking, as the receptionists I spoke to on the phone could not answer my questions directly. I needed to reschedule a booking and when it came time to do so, I was told on the phone that they would have to check with the doctors first- despite having my referral on hand. HOWEVER. My experience attending in person was nothing short of excellent. The front desk staff were kind (neither of them were who I spoke with on the phone). And Dr Sabiha, and the nurse (apologies I forgot her name!) were kind, attentive, and took great care of my during my procedure. Don’t let the booking system stop you from this service. There are lovely people operating this practice.

The 1 star is for the reception. I have a feeling that they may possibly be short staffed but it needs to be a lot better. It’s almost impossible to call them and emails take a while to get back to you. Several important things were being ignored through our conversations via email. The lead up to getting paper work for an upcoming surgery was the most stressful thing for me. I had to chase up almost every single document I needed as most were not sent to me. I didn’t even receive important pre surgery or patient forms until 3 days before my op, all of which I had to organise myself. I am still chasing up claims and documents 3 months after my op date. In saying that the staff are lovely, especially the nurses who have been very helpful pre and post op. I genuinely feel they just need more staff or more training. I have only had one continuous rude/unhelpful lady in reception since coming to this clinic. But I hope they can rectify this issue because the clinic itself could be such a great asset for women’s health if properly organised and more care was given.

Sent an online booking request almost 2 months ago and when I called to follow up I spoke to someone who told me they never received my referral, she told me to email my referral instead which I did almost a month ago and still haven't had a single response even though I made it clear my health is being greatly effected. After reading the reviews it's clear that this is an ongoing problem that isn't being resolved, I'm so disappointed because I was told a few years ago that this clinic is amazing and I was so hopeful to get much needed help but now I realize I've wasted months of time and now need to find a new clinic to go on the wait-list for. I will be letting my doctor know to deter any patients away from attempting to use your services. You might want to fix the booking issues and respond to the many upset and unwell women who's time you are wasting.

Experience the worst customer service I’ve ever received from a medical clinic when calling Tamara‘s receptionist. I explain that l live remotely and need to know wait times to see their gynaecologists before getting a referral to a specific Gyno. The lady explained she couldn’t provide me with any wait times unless I provided them with a referral to which I explained, I cannot give a referral until I know which gynecologist to have this written out too. This went on and on until I just said look we’re getting no we’re I’ll go elsewhere. So disappointing when the centre is meant to be supporting women and we can’t even get through to a receptionist our needs!
