RecoverReset

A wood-fired Finnish sauna on wheels, run by a Finnish and German couple, moving around the Margaret River area with cold plunge and breathwork sessions. Wood-fired rather than electric, which is a different heat and the reason people seek it out.

How Oria chooses these spa & recovery places

5 of the 16 spa & recovery listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.

As of October 2026, 5 of the 16 Spa & Recovery listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Margaret River) — counted live from the directory.

1 place here publishes a starting price, from $70 to $70.

Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 8 October 2026.

Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.

The guide

Before you go: Ice Baths & Cold Plunges in the Margaret River region

The biggest difference between them is whether you share. Some sessions are communal, with a group in the same sauna and pools at a set time, often for a flat hour; others are booked as a private room for one or two people, and a few places can be hired outright for a group. Each listing says which where the place publishes it.

Where a session price is published, a sauna-and-plunge block starts at about $25 for thirty minutes and an hour runs about $35 to $45, with cheaper early-morning sessions at some rooms and packs or memberships at most. Each place sets its own prices and they change, so check before you go.

Swimwear is required at communal bathhouses, towels and change rooms vary, and some places set a minimum age. Oria Haven is a directory, not a health service. If you have a health concern, or you're pregnant or unsure, speak with your GP or a registered practitioner before you book.

Trend to Try

WA’s first floating sauna, on Pemberton Pool

Reel by Australia’s South West @australias_southwest · South West, Western Australia

Reel by Australia’s South West, the regional tourism account, posted 12 August 2026 with @floatingsauna_pembertonpool.

It captures the setting and the whole hot–cold ritual — including the dive that deserves a word of caution.

Your first visit

What to expect at your first cold plunge session

A short, sharp immersion in very cold water, usually sold alongside a sauna as a hot-and-cold circuit.

  • Session length 30–60 min
  • Group size 1–8
  • Experience needed None — staff talk first-timers through it

From arrival to heading home

  1. Before your visit

    • Ten minutes early for a first visit. Staff generally talk first-timers through it rather than leaving you to work it out.
    • Swimmers. A towel and robe for between rounds.
  2. During the session

    • Staff explain the routine: usually a warm-up in the sauna first, then the plunge, repeated a few times.
    • You get in slowly. The instinct is to gasp — being told to slow your breathing down is the whole of the coaching.
    • First immersions are short. A minute or two is a normal starting point and staff will often time it for you.
    • Back to the heat, then repeat. Most circuits finish on the warm side.
    • Dress warmly straight afterwards.

A little preparation

  • What to bring Water, thongs or sandals, and warm clothes for afterwards — you stay cold for a while.

This describes what these sessions are generally like, not any one venue on this page. Facilities and policies vary, so check anything that matters to you with the venue before you book.
