FreeConnect

A free morning run and walk club that meets on the grass opposite il Lido at Cottesloe: Fridays at 6am, every second Sunday at 7am, and the last Wednesday of the month at 5.30pm. Groups head out for fifteen to thirty minutes and turn back, so the distance suits whoever turns up, and walkers and dogs are as welcome as runners. The monthly evening session finishes with dinner.

Frieda runs yin and vinyasa classes in Claremont and Cottesloe and takes the practice into the bush: yoga hikes — 'yikes' — such as a four-kilometre walk at Bells Rapids followed by a slow-flow class and afternoon tea, and a hike to the Golden View lookout above Mundaring Weir, forty-five minutes east of the city. Longer retreats run in Balingup and overseas. Private one-to-one classes and corporate yoga and pilates round out the calendar.

How Oria chooses these fitness & movement places

2 of the 92 fitness & movement listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.

As of October 2026, 2 of the 92 Fitness & Movement listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Cottesloe) — counted live from the directory.

1 of these specialise in fitness & movement — it is their main focus. The other 1 list it among other things they offer.

Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 8 October 2026.

Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.

The guide

Before you go: fitness & movement in Perth

The distinction that trips people up here is reformer versus mat. Reformer pilates uses the spring-loaded machine and almost every studio will put you through a foundation class or two before letting you into the general timetable — not upselling, just how the machine works. Mat classes need none of that and cost noticeably less.
