Absolutely love this gym. The coaches are professional, supportive, and full of positive energy. The community here is what really makes it special — everyone is welcoming and encouraging, no matter your level. Training here has been a great experience for me, both physically and mentally. When I arrived in Australia from abroad, one of the first things I did was walk into this gym. I originally just wanted to keep up my training while being away from home, but it quickly became much more than that. Over time, I rediscovered my passion for boxing. The classes are always energetic, well-structured, and genuinely challenging. Every coach brings their own style, experience, and attention to detail, and you can tell how much they care about helping people improve - whether it’s your first class or you’ve been coming for a while. What really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. It’s the kind of gym where people actually know each other, and where new faces are genuinely welcomed. As someone who had just moved countries, finding that kind of community meant a lot. After attending a lot of classes, I recently started doing PT sessions with Coach V, which I can highly recommend. Good Vibes Boxing truly lives up to its name - great training, great people and a welcoming community that makes you want to keep coming back.
I have been boxing with Good Vibes for a year now and can confirm that this gym deserves every one of these five stars. I started as a complete beginner and hadn't tried any other martial art. I have progressed through their various skill levels of classes and I intend to continue learning with Good Vibes. I have started fortnightly PT sessions with Coach V and I have gotten WAY more out of these sessions than I expected and has been absolutely worth the money. I've never had a PT session for anything and didn't think they were necessary, but the close attention is absolutely worth it if you're interested in progressing in addition to building confidence. Recommend getting some classes under your belt to learn the basics so you can maximise your value out of these sessions. Coach V is an excellent teacher and boxer, so he can straighten out any bad habits before they become permanent. As most of these reviews state, the supportive and welcoming community Ben and the team have built is part of what makes this gym so great. I have always felt safe with all of the coaches here, and have noted this in all of their sessions. Everyone is incredibly friendly, and you will be taught everything from the ground up with the Beginners classes. If you're nearby and thinking of giving boxing a go, definitely take advantage of the first 2 free weeks and attend every beginners class you can. You'll quickly learn about what I've said here with the welcoming atmosphere and friendly people. I may even see you there and would happily have a chat! Thank you Coaches Ben, V, Storm, and Chaos, for always bringing the Good Vibes 🤙

IllustrationA short, firm foam roller in moulded polypropylene. Small enough to keep beside the mat or take to class.
Everyday useGoes well with Sleep & Recovery · Fitness & Movement
Why we picked it
A roller does not need to be clever. It needs to be firm enough to hold its shape and short enough that you actually use it. This is the plain, inexpensive one, and the 30cm length is the right size for calves, thighs and the upper back without taking over the room.

A two-inch textured rubber ball from TriggerPoint, sized to work underfoot.
Goes well with Massage & Bodywork · Sleep & Recovery · Fitness & Movement
Why we picked it
Two inches is the size that fits the arch of a foot, which is what separates it from a plain lacrosse ball. The texture grips the floor instead of skidding away. The cheapest way into self-massage tools and the one most likely to get used.

A yoga mat printed with alignment lines for placing hands and feet.
Goes well with Yoga
Why we picked it
The lines are the whole point. They give you something to check against when you cannot see your own posture and there is no teacher watching, which makes this a mat for practising alone at home rather than in a studio.
