How these ratings work
These bars are a guide, not a score of this business. Each starts from Oria Haven’s profile of Pilates as a kind of session, then is adjusted by facts stored on this listing: its price band, its group size and whether it welcomes beginners.
Nobody has rated this particular venue in person, and reviews are not fed in. Where we have no fact about this listing behind a bar — for example how many people share the room — we leave that bar out rather than guess.
They describe the room — how quiet, how physical, how many people — never what a session is supposed to do for you.
Why our editors picked it
“A boutique studio among the gum trees in central Kalamunda, kept deliberately small, with foundation classes for people still learning the moves alongside classic reformer and mat work. Two weeks unlimited for $75 for new members.”
Best Of guides are an editorial selection. A practice cannot pay to be in one.

It was my New Year’s resolution to start Reformer Pilates, and last weekend I completed my 100th class at HPH! After a personally challenging year in 2024, I made the decision to do something just for me - to focus on becoming the best version of myself - and I’ve never looked back. I absolutely love the incredible community that Candice has created at Hills Pilates House. It’s so much more than just a place to work out; it’s full of laughs, coffees, friendships and a real sense of belonging. Every instructor brings something unique, and the classes are so fun that the time just flies by (as they say, time really does fly when you’re having fun!). Reformer Pilates has become a part of who I am, and I truly love every minute of it. I can’t recommend Hills Pilates enough! For anyone thinking about starting, just do it! You’ll find your strength, your people and maybe even a little piece of yourself along the way. 💚 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I've had an amazing experience at Hills Pilates House! The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and really take the time to ensure you're doing each movement correctly. The studio is clean, welcoming, and has a great atmosphere. I've noticed a big improvement in my strength and flexibility since starting here. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their fitness in a supportive environment!

IllustrationA short, firm foam roller in moulded polypropylene. Small enough to keep beside the mat or take to class.
Everyday useGoes well with Sleep & Recovery · Fitness & Movement
Why we picked it
A roller does not need to be clever. It needs to be firm enough to hold its shape and short enough that you actually use it. This is the plain, inexpensive one, and the 30cm length is the right size for calves, thighs and the upper back without taking over the room.

A two-inch textured rubber ball from TriggerPoint, sized to work underfoot.
Goes well with Massage & Bodywork · Sleep & Recovery · Fitness & Movement
Why we picked it
Two inches is the size that fits the arch of a foot, which is what separates it from a plain lacrosse ball. The texture grips the floor instead of skidding away. The cheapest way into self-massage tools and the one most likely to get used.

A yoga mat printed with alignment lines for placing hands and feet.
Goes well with Yoga
Why we picked it
The lines are the whole point. They give you something to check against when you cannot see your own posture and there is no teacher watching, which makes this a mat for practising alone at home rather than in a studio.
