The reformer Pilates studio of Ellenbrook Physiotherapy, trading as Sana, with small-group reformer and mat classes alongside yoga, barre and strength circuits, and programs written by physiotherapists. New clients start with a free orientation reformer class. There is a gym and a wholefoods café on site, and members get discounted physio and massage. Prices aren't published online.
One of two Empower studios — the other is in Bellevue — founded in 2020 by exercise physiologist Ciara Parry. Reformer, mat and barre classes run seven days, including stretch-led Restore, high-intensity Sweat and a 55-plus Silver Swans timetable. New clients start with an intro package, such as $59 for two weeks unlimited, and a casual class is $38. A weekday-morning crèche costs $6 a child.
A Hardy Street studio running barre alongside reformer and matwork, which is less common than it sounds — most Perth barre classes sit in gyms rather than Pilates studios. The studio is explicit that no dance background is expected; its own test is whether you can hold a barre. Yoga and private sessions run on the same timetable.
Four studios across the western suburbs and the city — Shenton Park, Cottesloe, White Gum Valley and Barrack Street — running reformer and floor Pilates across eight class styles, with over two hundred classes a week between them and one membership covering the lot. The intro is four weeks unlimited for $190.
A Matlock Street studio with an unusually wide timetable for a Pilates address — reformer classes and studio sessions share the building with an infrared sauna, an Inside Flow yoga class, kinesiology and a mobility and balance class. A second location runs on Angelo Street in South Perth. Useful if you would rather book one place for several different things.
Two studios south of the river — Entrance Road in Coogee and Hammond Road in Cockburn Central — with the broadest Pilates timetable in the area: barre, clinical, reformer, mat, trampoline reformer, pregnancy and post-natal classes, plus TRX and boxilates. Classes run mornings, evenings and weekends. A two-week beginners' trial is $59, and a fifteen-minute phone consult is free.
Revolution Pilates & GYROTONIC Studio is an equipment-based studio on Carr Place in Leederville, directed by Neil Nabbefeld. New clients start with at least two 60-minute private sessions before moving to semi-private sessions of no more than four people per instructor, each on an individual program. The studio also runs GYROTONIC and GYROKINESIS sessions, group floor classes and fitBABES, a pre- and postnatal Pilates program. Studio sessions run weekday mornings and evenings and Saturday mornings.
A Como studio founded by Maddie, a qualified physiotherapist and Pilates instructor, running reformer, aerial, mat and barre classes. The physio background shows in the programming — classes are built with technique and joint positioning in mind rather than pace for its own sake.
A family-owned reformer Pilates studio on Delage Street in Joondalup, with more than 20 years in the Pilates industry and over 60 in-studio classes a week. Alongside group reformer classes it offers private Pilates, pregnancy Pilates, a Pilates programme for people over 50, stretch therapy and remedial massage. A single group reformer session is $39, a 10-pack $330, and a drop-in private session $110.
A North Fremantle studio whose timetable runs from power yoga and sculpt Pilates down to yin, restorative, and a yoga nidra class held inside live crystal-bowl sound healing — the guided yogic-sleep practice done properly, lying down, with the room resonating. Drop-ins $32, memberships from $39 a week.
A West Leederville training and recovery room where the cold plunge and infrared sauna sit alongside the gym floor rather than in a separate wellness space. Compression boots, red light and shock wave therapy are on the same menu as pilates and yoga classes, which makes it more of an athlete's setup than a spa. Open from 6.30am on weekdays and Saturday mornings, closed Sundays.
Scarborough's hot-room specialist: Bikram hot yoga, Sumit's hot vinyasa flow, hot core Pilates and a yin class to balance the heat, fifteen minutes up the coast from the city. Fourteen days unlimited for $39 lets newcomers try the lot before committing.
How Oria chooses these fitness & movement places
13 of the 89 fitness & movement listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.
As of October 2026, 13 of the 89 Fitness & Movement listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Perth) — counted live from the directory.
4 places here publish a starting price, from $32 to $190. The median is $39.
10 of these specialise in fitness & movement — it is their main focus. The other 3 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 9 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.

The guide
Before you go: Pilates in Perth
The first thing to sort out is reformer or mat, because they are priced, booked and taught differently. Reformer classes use the spring-loaded machine, run in small groups because there are only so many beds in the room, and almost every studio will put you through a foundation class or two before letting you into the general timetable — not an upsell, just how the machine is taught. Mat classes need none of that, take more people, and cost noticeably less.
Around those two sit the variations you will see on Perth timetables: barre borrowing from ballet, floor-based strength classes, mums-and-bubs terms, and clinical Pilates run by physiotherapists one-to-one or in twos and threes. The clinical kind matters for one dull reason — since 2019 private health funds no longer rebate Pilates as a natural therapy, and the exception is when a physiotherapist delivers it as physiotherapy. Ask which you are booking if the rebate matters to you.
Reformer studios generally ask for grip socks, and sell them at the desk if you arrive without. Class sizes are small enough that popular times book out days ahead. Almost every studio runs an introductory offer for new students, which is the cheapest way to try two or three rooms before you commit to a membership you then have to use.
Your first visit
What to expect at your first pilates session
Mat Pilates is a small class on the floor. Reformer Pilates is a small class on a machine, and most studios want you to do an introductory session before joining one.
- Session length 45–60 min
- Group size 6–14
- Experience needed None for mat; an intro class first for reformer
From arrival to heading home
-
Before your visit
- Ten to fifteen minutes early for a first reformer class. Setting up the bed to your height is done with the instructor.
- Fitted clothes rather than loose — the instructor needs to see how you are moving. Grip socks are required at most reformer studios and can usually be bought at reception.
-
During the session
- A short chat about injuries and anything you are working around.
- On reformer, the instructor sets your footbar, springs and headrest, and shows you how the carriage moves before anything starts.
- Exercises are called out and demonstrated, then the class works through them together with the instructor walking the room.
- Expect quiet form corrections, usually spoken and sometimes a hand on a shoulder or hip. You can ask for no hands-on and that will be respected.
- Classes are small, so you will be seen — which is the point, not a hazard.

13 practices across 12 suburbs. The most choice is in Ellenbrook (2) — use the area filter on this page to narrow it to the side of town you can actually get to.
What does it cost to book pilates in Perth?

Can I book pilates online in Perth?
Yes — 1 of the 13 practices listed offer online or hybrid sessions. Filter by format above to see only those.
How does Oria Haven choose which practices to list?
We build the directory ourselves rather than taking paid submissions, so a practice appears because it exists and serves Perth — not because it paid. Practices can claim their listing for nothing and keep it accurate, photos included. Paid plans add booking links, offers and visitor stats. We never take a cut of bookings, and enquiries go straight to the practice.
