Reformer Pilates in Perth
Reformer classes run on the spring-loaded machine, in small groups because there are only so many beds in the room, and almost every studio puts new clients through a foundation class or two first — not an upsell, just how the machine is taught.

Therapeutic reformer Pilates in the Bassendean shopping centre, with an unusually transparent price list — casual classes at $45, weekly memberships from $48 for two classes up to $80 for four, and a six-week money-back guarantee. Open from 6am on weekdays with on-site parking.

The reformer Pilates studio of Ellenbrook Physiotherapy, trading as Sana, with small-group reformer and mat classes alongside yoga, barre and strength circuits, and programs written by physiotherapists. New clients start with a free orientation reformer class. There is a gym and a wholefoods café on site, and members get discounted physio and massage. Prices aren't published online.
A Hardy Street studio running barre alongside reformer and matwork, which is less common than it sounds — most Perth barre classes sit in gyms rather than Pilates studios. The studio is explicit that no dance background is expected; its own test is whether you can hold a barre. Yoga and private sessions run on the same timetable.
Four studios across the western suburbs and the city — Shenton Park, Cottesloe, White Gum Valley and Barrack Street — running reformer and floor Pilates across eight class styles, with over two hundred classes a week between them and one membership covering the lot. A Matlock Street studio with an unusually wide timetable for a Pilates address — reformer classes and studio sessions share the building with an infrared sauna, an Inside Flow yoga class, kinesiology and a mobility and balance class. A second location runs on Angelo Street in South Perth. Useful if you would rather book one place for several different things.
Boutique reformer studios in Mahogany Creek and Kalamunda running fifty-plus classes a week since 2022 — reformer and restorative reformer alongside sound baths, meditation, breathwork and nervous-system regulation programs. The Mahogany Creek studio adds The Sanctuary, a sauna and cold plunge, plus a creche for the Mini + Me classes, and the team runs retreats as far afield as Ningaloo.
Two studios south of the river — Entrance Road in Coogee and Hammond Road in Cockburn Central — with the broadest Pilates timetable in the area: barre, clinical, reformer, mat, trampoline reformer, pregnancy and post-natal classes, plus TRX and boxilates. Classes run mornings, evenings and weekends. A two-week beginners' trial is $59, and a fifteen-minute phone consult is free.
A reformer Pilates studio in the Horizon Building on Brighton Road, a short walk from Scarborough Beach, run since 2010 by accredited exercise physiologist and Pilates instructor Teresa Holmes. A boutique loft-style studio in East Victoria Park running mat, reformer, arc and barre classes alongside slower release sessions, with private and duo appointments for people who want the equipment to themselves. Teaching leans form-first and beginner-friendly.

The Rockingham studio of the STRONG Pilates group, in a purpose-built space on Robinson Road with 18 custom reformer beds, Rowformers and Bikeformers. Its 45-minute classes combine reformer Pilates with strength and cardio work, with a different class each day. New clients can start with a 10-day unlimited introductory pass for $59. The studio has change rooms, showers, a mobility area and off-street parking.
Studio Fortè is a reformer Pilates studio in a unit on Carson Road, Malaga, run by owner Emma. A Hobart Street studio that splits its Pilates by how closely you are watched rather than by how hard it is — clinical sessions cap at three, reformer classes at six, both fifty minutes. An assessment comes first either way. Women's health, pregnancy and postnatal physiotherapy run from the same rooms, and the studio states its clinical sessions are claimable through health funds.
An Innaloo practice on Ellen Stirling Boulevard running reformer classes and a gym floor alongside the physiotherapy rooms, with an infrared sauna on site. A standing over-fifties strength class runs under its own name rather than being folded into the general timetable. HICAPS is on site, so health fund claims are processed at the desk.

How Oria chooses these fitness & movement places
25 of the 89 fitness & movement listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.
As of October 2026, 25 of the 89 Fitness & Movement listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Perth) — counted live from the directory.
13 places here publish a starting price, from $20 to $190. The median is $39.
18 of these specialise in fitness & movement — it is their main focus. The other 7 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 8 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.

The guide
Worth knowing
Class sizes are small enough that popular times book out days ahead, and most studios sell memberships alongside casual rates. Reformer studios generally ask for grip socks and sell them at the desk if you arrive without.
Clinical Pilates — run by a physiotherapist, one-to-one or in twos and threes — is a different booking from a group reformer class, and it matters for one dull reason: private health funds stopped rebating Pilates as a natural therapy in 2019, and the exception is when a physiotherapist delivers it as physiotherapy.
Your first visit
What to expect at your first reformer pilates session
One machine each, six to twelve people, and an instructor who set your springs before you started.
- Session length 45–50 min
- Group size 6–12, one bed each
- What it costs See published prices
From arrival to heading home
-
Before your visit
- Fifteen minutes early for a first class. The setup is individual and is not something to rush.
- Fitted clothes. Grip socks are compulsory at most studios — check the studio page, and expect to be able to buy a pair at reception if you forget.
-
During the session
- The instructor asks about injuries, pregnancy and anything recent before you get on the bed.
- They set the footbar, headrest and spring tension for your height and strength, and show you which lever does what.
- The class works through a sequence together. Spring changes are called out as you go.
- Corrections are frequent and normal — the resistance makes form matter more than it does on a mat.
- You reset and wipe down the bed at the end.

- Where a venue doesn't say something (hours, showers, privacy), it is counted as not stated -- never as no.

Reformer Pilates in Perth — common questions
What is reformer Pilates?
Pilates done on a reformer — a sliding carriage loaded with springs, with a footbar and straps. The springs can make an exercise harder or easier than the floor version, which is why the machine is not simply the advanced option.
How many Perth studios run reformer Pilates?
25 of the 89 fitness and movement listings in the directory publish reformer classes. The count is live.
Do I need to do a foundation class first?
At most studios, yes — one or two introductory sessions before the general timetable. It is how the machine is taught, and the listing or the studio's booking page will say.
Will my health fund rebate reformer classes?
Group reformer classes are not rebated as a natural therapy since 2019. Clinical Pilates delivered by a physiotherapist as physiotherapy can be — ask which you are booking.
What happens in a reformer class?
Six to twelve people, one bed each, working through a sequence the instructor calls while adjusting springs between exercises. Forty-five to fifty minutes, and grip socks are required at most studios.
