A City of Canning centre running three distinct aqua classes rather than one generic timetable: Aqua Fit as a cardio and conditioning session for sixteen and over, Aqua Stick using rubber bands on a bar for added resistance, and Revitalise Aqua, a low-impact class the city describes as designed for people over fifty. A second pool runs the same programme at Riverton. Bookings open twenty-two hours before each class.

Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - it really made my visit more enjoyable. One small suggestion: the staff at front counter didn’t appear to have chairs available, would be great to see sitting options in the future for them. Overall it was a great visit and I’m looking forward to coming back to the centre and its fantastic facilities soon.
The staff I've interacted with have been friendly, and that's about where the positives end. The pool has been a persistent problem, consistently not up to temperature and finding out about it has been a frustrating exercise in poor communication. When the temperature issue first started, communication was reasonable and the recent updates have since dried up entirely. Calling the centre is POINTLESS. The phone is never answered. I left a voicemail as instructed and never received a call back. I've even walked in five minutes after calling, with no customers at the pool and only a handful of people in the gym, to find a sign on the door saying the pool is still not back to temperature. Just a sign. I would have saved myself a trip to the centre if the phone was answered. The steam room has visible mould, which is a hygiene concern that shouldn't be hard to address. With the pool out of action and the steam room in that condition, the sauna becomes the only option and it fills up fast. This centre has potential and the staff seem genuinely friendly, but the maintenance standards and communication have fallen well short of what members deserve.
The entrance to the gym side of the building has a strong oily deep fried smell. Please invest in a good exhaust system for the kitchen/cafe!! It smell terrible. The Leisureplex is big with a gym, library, swimming pool and courts. However, in relation to the Leisureplex's overall size, the gym is VERY small.
I think the spa water needs to be changed to hot water because it's winter now and the water is too cold for anyone to use. The water dispenser next to the spa needs to be fixed so it can work. Also, installing a hairdryer in the toilet would make the experience even better. Thank you.
I am quite a new member and absolutely love the staff at Cannington Leisureplex gym / fitness classes - particularly Theo who did my recent appraisal, taught me different workouts and guided me on the machines, Chris, the lady who helped me w my body composition scan- they were ever so lovely, knowledgeable and kind! Also, the Konga instructor is amazing! I love her class and her energy is so motivating!!! Keep it up team!!! 👍👍👍
