Beginner classes run on donation; annual membership is $40.

I learned a lot from Sien’s simple way of teaching authentic Chen Taiji. I have also improved my mobility, mental state and martial arts knowledge tremendously. It’s very friendly and fun environment too. I have got to meet lots of new friends too.

Chen Tai Chi Academy is also a very friendly environment to train in. It's like a family here. Master Sien Long is one of the most knowledgeable Chen Style Tai chi master I've known. Master Sien's style let us understand the concept behind Chen Tai Chi, its both engaging and refreshing! I started training under Master Sien Long last November, after being diagnosed of quite a bit of health problem. And in that time progressed a fair bit (still have a lot to learn though). I highly recommended this school to anyone looking for practical Chen Tai Chi.
The knowledge of the teacher (Sien) is incredible and authentic, as he has spent some ~25 years learning from the Chen style taiji grand masters from Chen Village in China. I was very surprised and delighted to find a teacher who has this kind of experience in Perth of all places. Sien is welcoming, compassionate and a very motivational teacher. Whether you're considering taiji for relaxation, for health or to better understand the history and martial applications of Taiji, the Chen Tai Chi Academy is worth checking out. I believe it is one of Perth's hidden gems in the martial arts world.
Chen tai chi is very enjoyable and great exercise. Sien, our instructor delivers first class lessons which come from an authentic lineage from Chen village in China, the place where tai chi originated. As a result, he is able to teach tai chi as a martial art which is very rare and teaches us the practical application of the moves. I thoroughly enjoy our classes and would highly recommend them to anyone.
