A Wangara academy running since 1987, with Zen Do Kai, Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu jitsu, boxing and MMA on one adult timetable from sixteen years up. The studio is unusually direct about what walking in cold feels like — its own wording is that beginners find structure, patience, and a community that remembers what it felt like to start from nothing. A two-week unlimited intro pass is $29.

We joined Spear Dojo over the christmas holidays to give our children a place to learn martial arts, gain self confidence and discipline. What we have received is nothing short of a second home and family. All the members, staff, instructors plus Wayne and Sandy Spear themselves are all such wonderful people! We are so grateful to have found such an amazing, welcoming place. I highly recommend Spear Dojo, their memberships are very fair and you get so much included. Thanks heaps guys, I hope you don't get sick of us because we're here for the long haul.
I grew up in the 80s watching films like the Karate kid an Enter the Dragon and always dreamed of being "that guy" but never really thought it possible. Until that day I took my first brave step onto the mat. Zen Do Kai Karate has offered me and my family the chance to be greater than I ever thought possible. Like wise, Spear Dojo has welcomed us as if we were family, and has opened doors to the very top of performance, victory over fear and personal best. Thank you very very much to my instructors, and all my team mates.
My teen daughter was welcomed with open arms and has been a regular participant and part of the Spear Dojo family for the last 3 years. Zen Do Kai has taught her so much. It has also given her confidence to assist with the younger classes. She always leave the dojo with a smile on her face. Spear Dojo offers a range of classes for all ages and I myself have attend some fitness classes which I recommend too, just which I could go more often.
We highly recommend Spear Dojo. Our 9 year old son has been with the club for just on a year doing both the Zen Do Kai & Muay Thai. He loves the variety in both classes. The instructors are amazing and the kids love them as they make the classes so much fun whilst mastering the techniques, principles and discipline of martial arts.
My son, daughter and husband have been attending Spear Dojo for quite a few years now. The kids are always engaged, focused and they love their teachers. The staff, including reception, Sempai's and the owners are always super friendly and helpful. The Sempai's are so great with the kids and keep them motivated along the way. Highly recommend Spear Dojo.
