How these ratings work

These bars are a guide, not a score of this business. Each starts from Oria Haven’s profile of Yoga as a kind of session, then is adjusted by facts stored on this listing: its price band, its group size and whether it welcomes beginners.

Nobody has rated this particular venue in person, and reviews are not fed in. Where we have no fact about this listing behind a bar — for example how many people share the room — we leave that bar out rather than guess.

They describe the room — how quiet, how physical, how many people — never what a session is supposed to do for you.

Why our editors picked it

Best retreat Best wellness retreats near Perth

“Mandy Francisty runs day retreats around Perth built from slow-flow and restorative yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, breathwork and journaling, each on a different theme, with a vegan gluten-free lunch included. Her Two Rocks base has a sauna and ice bath and weekly classes, and she takes private bookings for hens, birthdays and teams.”

Mandy is a absolute gem and beautiful soul with a true passion for what she does. I have participated in one of her day somatic dance retreats as well as the EMBODY HER three day retreat in the beautiful and healing Donnelly Lakes. She goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome safe and supported. I have so much respect for her wealth of knowledge and the beautifully designed experience we were taken through. She is creative, highly knowledgeable and beautifully compassionate. Couldn't recommend enough xxxxxxxx

I had such a beautiful experience here. Mandy was so welcoming from the moment I arrived she truly is a beautiful soul who creates a safe, nurturing space to be your authentic self. I absolutely loved the somatic dance. It felt freeing, grounding, and so empowering. I’m so grateful for the experience and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend 🤍

The therapy session I look forward too, the me time I’ve always needed, the chicken soup for my soul. Mandy at Awakened Wellness has honestly changed my life. What started with a weekend getaway to refresh and relax turned into NLP therapy sessions and then monthly new moon ceremonies and now the occasional day of indulgence to reconnect to self, relax and lean in to how my body is feeling and what I need. Mandy has helped me through some big trauma, big life changes and more. Always with an open and understanding heart, lots of patience and no judgement. Excellent at what she does but also just an incredible person whose work truly helps those who give it a go! I will never look back and regret that decision to book a weekend retreat or any other offerings Mandy has provided me.

Wellness journalsThe 5-Minute Gratitude JournalSophia Godkin, PhD

A guided journal with short daily prompts: a few lines in the morning, a few at night. Undated, so a missed day costs nothing.

Makes a gift

Goes well with Mindfulness coaching

Why we picked it

A journal only works if it is short enough to keep doing. This one asks for five minutes and three lines, which is the amount most people will actually write, and undated pages mean no guilt about the gaps. A good gift because nobody buys it for themselves.

Breathwork booksBreath: The New Science of a Lost ArtJames Nestor

James Nestor's account of how we breathe and how we used to, drawing on breathing traditions, pulmonology and his own experiments. Paperback edition.

Good for beginners

Goes well with Breathwork

Why we picked it

If a breathwork class has left you curious about why any of it works, this is the book to read next. It is a reporter's book rather than a manual, which is why it is so readable, and it sends most people back to class with better questions.
