Twelve venues across Perth, most of them within sight of water — Scarborough Beach, City Beach, Cottesloe, Port Beach and Point Walter among them, alongside indoor rooms in West Leederville, East Perth, Burswood, Nedlands and Karrinyup shopping centre. Sessions run a flat sixty minutes on the hour and are communal rather than private, with venue capacities between seven and twenty. Cold water varies by site: ice pools, ice baths, ice showers, a magnesium pool, and at the beach venues the ocean itself. Booking is through the studio's own app.

A long-running float space in Willetton that has grown into a compact recovery studio: float tanks for full sensory rest, plus sauna, cold plunge and red light therapy. One of the few float options south-east of the river.
The spa at Crown Towers, Burswood, with an Aqua Retreat of vitality pool, sauna, steam room and rainforest shower in separate men's and women's areas. Subtle Energies body treatments and massage, skin facials and La Prairie treatments, packages and Crown gift cards. Sixteen and over; treatments of an hour or more include four hours of valet parking. Sunday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday and Saturday to 6pm.
A communal bathhouse on Donovan Street, Osborne Park: a Finnish sauna, steam room, hot mineral bath and ice bath taken as a circuit on a day pass, with a treatment menu of massage, facials, body treatments and pregnancy massage alongside. All-gender and 18-plus, swimwear required; open seven days, from 6am on Thursdays and Fridays and until 8pm most nights. Packages, memberships and gift cards are sold on the site.
Saunas, ice baths and adjacent recovery modalities in a West Leederville studio — a smaller, quieter alternative to the big-box recovery centres, in the same growing Leederville wellness pocket as Vitality House.
Ice baths, traditional and infrared saunas and contrast sessions in private one-hour bookings for singles or pairs. Prices are stated plainly: $45 a session, $80 for two, a five-pack at $200, or a $50 weekly membership covering up to three visits. Group sessions run too.
A Finnish sauna house on Erindale Road, grown out of a mobile sauna that spent a couple of years touring Perth before settling into a permanent room. Sessions are built around aufguss — a facilitator working steam and scent through the sauna in rounds — with hot and cold magnesium plunge pools alongside, and a separate private room for anyone who would rather do sauna and ice bath alone. Physiotherapy and massage are booked from the same room, and the lounge runs group classes and events.
A Forrest Street room in Subiaco running sauna and cold plunge in thirty or sixty minute blocks, with availability deliberately capped so the space stays quiet rather than filled. A thirty-minute session is $25 and an hour is $35, with early sessions at 5am, 6am and 7am for $7, $14 and $21. The timetable also carries yoga classes, and drinks afterwards are complimentary. Showers and change rooms are on site.
Merse Wellness Osborne Park is a bathhouse on Scarborough Beach Road with hot magnesium spas, cold plunge pools, hot rock and infrared saunas, a steam room and monsoon showers. Bathhouse sessions usually run 60 to 90 minutes. The steam room is open to members and casual visitors, with bookings through the Merse app. A Rejuvenate Lounge offers compression, LED light and sound sessions. Open weekdays 5.30am to 9pm, weekends 7am to 7pm.
A Harrisdale recovery room with ice baths, a traditional sauna, compression boots, red light and massage guns, plus body composition scanning for anyone tracking the numbers. Stretching classes run alongside.
Perth's first fully dedicated recovery centre: cold plunge pools alongside a magnesium-enriched hot plunge for contrast work, a Finnish sauna, steam room, red light therapy, compression boots and IV drips. Memberships run in two tiers with casual dips available, and professional teams train through here.
Recwell is a contrast therapy and recovery centre in Wangara with hot and cold pools, a steam room, a campfire sauna, a compression boot lounge and Reformer Pilates. Contrast sessions run 60 minutes and include the pools, sauna and steam room, booked as casual sessions, packs or week-to-week memberships from $49 a week for two sessions. Remedial massage and physiotherapy run on site through outside providers. Open weekdays 5.30am to 8pm and weekends 7am to 4pm.
A sauna and ice bath on Worthington Road, booked for exclusive use — you get the facility to yourself for the session rather than sharing it. Hot and cold are taken in contrast or on their own, and groups can book together. Open from 7am on weekdays, earlier finish on Fridays, and closed Sundays.
Four sites between the South Terrace studio and the beaches at South Beach, Leighton and Hillarys Boat Harbour, and the format changes with the location. The studio runs private infrared rooms at thirty minutes and a private magnesium bath and sauna at sixty; the beachside rooms are communal, including a silent session where nobody talks. A bath house experience and massage run alongside. Booking is online.
The hotel spa at Elizabeth Quay, by appointment: four treatment rooms including a couples suite, therapy baths and foot baths, a sauna, separate men's and women's vitality pools, relaxation lounges and the heated outdoor infinity pool. Massage and couples massage, Biologique Recherche facials, scrubs and wraps, manicures and pedicures, with LaGaia Unedited and Biologique Recherche on the shelves. Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm, Sunday to 5pm.
A day spa on Railway Terrace at Rockingham Beach, open since 2007 and multi-award-winning by its own account. Massage, facials, skin needling, Dermalux LED, body wraps, foot treatments and a sauna, grouped into packages for singles and couples, with Ultraceuticals skincare on the shelves. Tuesday to Saturday; lift access for wheelchairs; gift vouchers online, by phone or in store.
Breathwork and recovery studios on Beaufort Street (with a second room in Booragoon), running group breathwork, sound healing, yin, yoga nidra and slow flow alongside sauna and ice-bath contrast work. The $79 two-week unlimited intro is one of the better ways in the city to find out which of those actually suits you.
The spa inside COMO The Treasury on Cathedral Avenue, open to day visitors as well as hotel guests: four treatment rooms (one a double), a 20-metre heated indoor pool, sauna and a wellness lounge, and a rooftop fitness centre. Massage and holistic treatments with COMO Shambhala's own products, private yoga and pilates, and wellness packages. Open 10am to 6pm every day; bookings through the spa's online portal.
Boutique reformer studios in Mahogany Creek and Kalamunda running fifty-plus classes a week since 2022 — reformer and restorative reformer alongside sound baths, meditation, breathwork and nervous-system regulation programs. The Mahogany Creek studio adds The Sanctuary, a sauna and cold plunge, plus a creche for the Mini + Me classes, and the team runs retreats as far afield as Ningaloo.
A day spa and small overnight retreat in the Swan Valley with an unusually broad wellness menu: massage, facials, clay treatments, hydrotherapy and floatation therapy, plus The Oasis — sauna, ice bath and spa sessions. Day visitors are explicitly welcome, six days a week, with Oasis and float sessions running Sundays too. Three luxury rooms serve those who stay over.

How Oria chooses these spa & recovery places
20 of the 96 spa & recovery listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.
As of October 2026, 20 of the 96 Spa & Recovery listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Perth) — counted live from the directory.
3 places here publish a starting price, from $7 to $45. The median is $20.
16 of these specialise in spa & recovery — it is their main focus. The other 4 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 8 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.

The guide
Before you go: Traditional Saunas in Perth
A traditional sauna heats the air in a wood-lined room, and in Perth it turns up in four quite different settings: dedicated sauna houses and studios; communal saunas beside the beach; bathhouses, where it's one stop in a circuit with a steam room and baths; and hotel and day spas, where it usually comes with a treatment or a day visit, often in separate men's and women's areas.
Most of the 20 places here pair the heat with cold water, whether an ice bath, a cold plunge or a magnesium pool, and one sauna house runs its sessions around aufguss, where a facilitator works steam and scent through the room in rounds.
Where prices are published, a sauna-and-plunge session starts at about $25 for thirty minutes and an hour is about $35, and one Subiaco room discounts its 5am to 7am sessions. Communal beachside sessions often run a flat hour.
Bring swimwear for communal and bathhouse sessions, check whether towels are supplied, and note that some places set a minimum age: sixteen at one hotel spa, eighteen at one bathhouse. Oria Haven is a directory, not a health service. If you have a health concern, or you're pregnant or unsure, speak with your GP or a registered practitioner before you book.

About the Reel
The Reel, from Australia’s South West, introduces the floating sauna at Pemberton Pool: two wood-fired sauna rooms on the water with big windows onto the karri forest, and the ritual its caption describes — warm up, step outside into the pool, and repeat.

Sources & how we calculated these figures
- Checked 7 October 2026, from prices published by five dedicated Perth sauna houses on their own websites, or the booking pages they link to.
- Typical means the median: the middle published price, one price per venue for each session length.
- Single-person, sauna-only casual prices. Memberships, packs, intro offers and sauna-plus-ice-bath bundles are counted separately; pods and multi-therapy rooms are left out of the sauna figures.
- Two-person prices are the total for two, as published.
- North or south of the river is by the venue's suburb.
- Where a venue doesn't say something (hours, showers, privacy), it is counted as not stated -- never as no.
- Prices and inclusions change. Check the venue's own site before you book.
- Each figure says how many venues it comes from; different facts can rest on different numbers of venues. Venue names link to their Oria Haven listings, which link to the venue’s own site.

Traditional sauna in Perth — common questions
Where is there a Finnish sauna in Perth?
Several places on this page describe their sauna as Finnish, including a sauna house built around aufguss sessions, a communal bathhouse and a dedicated recovery centre. Each listing says what kind of sauna it has.
Are there saunas at the beach in Perth?
Yes. Beachside operators run communal sauna sessions at several Perth beaches, including Scarborough, City Beach, Cottesloe and South Beach, and at some sites the ocean is the cold plunge.
How long is a sauna session?
Usually booked as a block. Thirty minutes and an hour are the most common lengths published, and communal beachside sessions often run a flat hour.
Can day visitors use a hotel spa's sauna?
At some. At least one CBD hotel spa is open to day visitors as well as hotel guests; others are by appointment with a treatment. Check the listing and the spa's own website.
