A boutique loft-style studio in East Victoria Park running mat, reformer, arc and barre classes alongside slower release sessions, with private and duo appointments for people who want the equipment to themselves. Teaching leans form-first and beginner-friendly.

AirSpace is an aerial bodyweight studio on Newcastle Street in Leederville, just off Loftus Street, and the home of AirYoga, its original aerial hammock class. The group timetable also covers gymnastic rings strength, handstands, flexibility training and a patterns and groundwork class. A single drop-in class is $39, with class packs and memberships available. Personal training and on-site physiotherapy are offered, and students need to be 15 or over.
The City of Victoria Park's aquatic centre, open from 5.30am on weekdays. Four pools — an outdoor 50m, an indoor 25m, a leisure pool and a hydrotherapy pool — plus a steam room and spa, a gym, and a group fitness programme that includes aqua classes. Casual adult swim entry is $8.20 and gym or group fitness is $20, which makes it one of the cheapest ways into warm water in Perth's inner south-east.
The City of Vincent's pool and fitness centre runs one of Perth's biggest aqua timetables — Aqua 4 All, Aqua Balance, Aqua Cardio, Aqua HIIT, Aqua Zumba and Deep Aqua — plus a 40-minute Stretch & Flex class, with casual entry from $12.40 concession and class packs available.
Sifu James Lui teaches Choy Lee Fut kung fu alongside Lohan qigong at three hall-and-oval venues across the river — South Perth, Brentwood and Myaree. The qigong is not a warm-up bolted onto the martial art but its own stream, which is rarer in Perth than the number of kung fu schools would suggest.
The spa inside COMO The Treasury on Cathedral Avenue, open to day visitors as well as hotel guests: four treatment rooms (one a double), a 20-metre heated indoor pool, sauna and a wellness lounge, and a rooftop fitness centre. Massage and holistic treatments with COMO Shambhala's own products, private yoga and pilates, and wellness packages. Open 10am to 6pm every day; bookings through the spa's online portal.
A Maylands gym whose bootcamp runs indoors and outdoors: high-intensity and cross training, bodyweight drills, boxing and team work. Prices are published — $25 for a casual session, $200 for a ten-session pack with no expiry, $39 a week ongoing with no lock-in, and a $28 two-week trial for new members. Personal training, gym access and corporate programmes are offered alongside.
A reformer studio on the Albany Highway strip running four class types, from a foundational Classic through to a cardio-leaning Sweat and Burn, plus a twelve-week Mums and Bubs postnatal program. Fourteen days unlimited for $69 gets newcomers through the door.
A Hardy Street studio running barre alongside reformer and matwork, which is less common than it sounds — most Perth barre classes sit in gyms rather than Pilates studios. The studio is explicit that no dance background is expected; its own test is whether you can hold a barre. Yoga and private sessions run on the same timetable.
Strength coaching aimed squarely at middle-aged and older adults, one to one or online, taking people from those finding daily tasks hard to those training around an old injury. Running coaching and gait assessment are offered alongside.
The City of South Perth's leisure centre in Karawara runs a drop-in social pickleball session on Sunday afternoons, open to all ages and skill levels.
A boxing gym on Wittenoom Street that separates learning the craft from being hit. Boxing Basics is a beginners' class in technique with no contact, and the partner drills that follow rule out contact to the head; sparring is a separate club you opt into by invitation. Classes run forty to fifty minutes, with a strength session in the same timetable.
Four studios across the western suburbs and the city — Shenton Park, Cottesloe, White Gum Valley and Barrack Street — running reformer and floor Pilates across eight class styles, with over two hundred classes a week between them and one membership covering the lot. The intro is four weeks unlimited for $190.
Athletic development on Scarborough Beach Road, working with emerging and elite athletes and with police and emergency services candidates preparing for entry testing. Screening and evaluation come before the programming.
A Matlock Street studio with an unusually wide timetable for a Pilates address — reformer classes and studio sessions share the building with an infrared sauna, an Inside Flow yoga class, kinesiology and a mobility and balance class. A second location runs on Angelo Street in South Perth. Useful if you would rather book one place for several different things.
A coached running club offering small-group adult interval and gym sessions at four venues across Perth, on a monthly membership or casual basis.
The trail-race organiser also runs a free social trail run in Kings Park every Thursday evening, 8-10km with the group staying together.
A free social running group run by The Running Centre, meeting twice a week in central Perth for 6-10km runs split into smaller pace groups.
Social pickleball sessions at five Perth venues through the week, from Forrestfield and Belmont to Carine, Jolimont and Craigie, with equipment supplied.
Energy Cntr Yoga is a yoga and mat Pilates studio on Stirling Street in Perth, owned by teacher Simone Saywell. The room holds 35 students, and classes include Vinyasa, Deep, Mellow and Slow Flow, Hatha, Power Flow, Yin and Meditation, Deep Stretch and several mat Pilates formats. A casual class is $28, with 5, 10 and 20-class packs and weekly or monthly unlimited memberships. The studio opens only for scheduled classes.
Guided hikes from two hours to five days, most of them in the Perth Hills, Yanchep and on Rottnest, with longer trips to Denmark, Karijini and Esperance. The wellness-leaning walks — 'Wild & Well Perth', 'Zen in the Cave' — pair the trail with time to sit, and more than half of guests come alone. Day hikes are priced from free to $349, multi-day trips from $1,590; cancellation is free with 48 hours' notice, and one per cent of earnings goes to mental-health and land-restoration causes.
A weekly early-morning walk or run from the Manning shops, hosted by the community organisation Befriend, finishing with coffee nearby.
A Forrest Street room in Subiaco running sauna and cold plunge in thirty or sixty minute blocks, with availability deliberately capped so the space stays quiet rather than filled. A thirty-minute session is $25 and an hour is $35, with early sessions at 5am, 6am and 7am for $7, $14 and $21. The timetable also carries yoga classes, and drinks afterwards are complimentary. Showers and change rooms are on site.
A Hobart Street studio that splits its Pilates by how closely you are watched rather than by how hard it is — clinical sessions cap at three, reformer classes at six, both fifty minutes. An assessment comes first either way. Women's health, pregnancy and postnatal physiotherapy run from the same rooms, and the studio states its clinical sessions are claimable through health funds.
A West Leederville training and recovery room where the cold plunge and infrared sauna sit alongside the gym floor rather than in a separate wellness space. Compression boots, red light and shock wave therapy are on the same menu as pilates and yoga classes, which makes it more of an athlete's setup than a spa. Open from 6.30am on weekdays and Saturday mornings, closed Sundays.
How Oria chooses these fitness & movement places
40 of the 92 fitness & movement listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.
As of October 2026, 40 of the 92 Fitness & Movement listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Perth Central) — counted live from the directory.
14 places here publish a starting price, from $7 to $190. The median is $34.
30 of these specialise in fitness & movement — it is their main focus. The other 10 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 11 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.

Before you go: fitness & movement in Perth
The distinction that trips people up here is reformer versus mat. Reformer pilates uses the spring-loaded machine and almost every studio will put you through a foundation class or two before letting you into the general timetable — not upselling, just how the machine works. Mat classes need none of that and cost noticeably less.
