An automated wellness studio open around the clock, where sessions are booked and accessed through an app rather than a front desk.
Twelve venues across Perth, most of them within sight of water — Scarborough Beach, City Beach, Cottesloe, Port Beach and Point Walter among them, alongside indoor rooms in West Leederville, East Perth, Burswood, Nedlands and Karrinyup shopping centre. Sessions run a flat sixty minutes on the hour and are communal rather than private, with venue capacities between seven and twenty. Cold water varies by site: ice pools, ice baths, ice showers, a magnesium pool, and at the beach venues the ocean itself. Booking is through the studio's own app.
A long-running float space in Willetton that has grown into a compact recovery studio: float tanks for full sensory rest, plus sauna, cold plunge and red light therapy. One of the few float options south-east of the river.
Float tanks on Edward Street, backed by infrared sauna, red-light and contrast therapy. An hour in the dark and the salt is the quietest sixty minutes available in the inner city, and the intro three-pack brings a float under sixty dollars while you decide whether it's your thing.
A communal bathhouse on Donovan Street, Osborne Park: a Finnish sauna, steam room, hot mineral bath and ice bath taken as a circuit on a day pass, with a treatment menu of massage, facials, body treatments and pregnancy massage alongside. All-gender and 18-plus, swimwear required; open seven days, from 6am on Thursdays and Fridays and until 8pm most nights. Packages, memberships and gift cards are sold on the site.
Saunas, ice baths and adjacent recovery modalities in a West Leederville studio — a smaller, quieter alternative to the big-box recovery centres, in the same growing Leederville wellness pocket as Vitality House.
Ice baths, traditional and infrared saunas and contrast sessions in private one-hour bookings for singles or pairs. Prices are stated plainly: $45 a session, $80 for two, a five-pack at $200, or a $50 weekly membership covering up to three visits. Group sessions run too.
A Finnish sauna house on Erindale Road, grown out of a mobile sauna that spent a couple of years touring Perth before settling into a permanent room. Sessions are built around aufguss — a facilitator working steam and scent through the sauna in rounds — with hot and cold magnesium plunge pools alongside, and a separate private room for anyone who would rather do sauna and ice bath alone. Physiotherapy and massage are booked from the same room, and the lounge runs group classes and events.
A Forrest Street room in Subiaco running sauna and cold plunge in thirty or sixty minute blocks, with availability deliberately capped so the space stays quiet rather than filled. A thirty-minute session is $25 and an hour is $35, with early sessions at 5am, 6am and 7am for $7, $14 and $21. The timetable also carries yoga classes, and drinks afterwards are complimentary. Showers and change rooms are on site.
Merse Wellness Osborne Park is a bathhouse on Scarborough Beach Road with hot magnesium spas, cold plunge pools, hot rock and infrared saunas, a steam room and monsoon showers. Bathhouse sessions usually run 60 to 90 minutes. The steam room is open to members and casual visitors, with bookings through the Merse app. A Rejuvenate Lounge offers compression, LED light and sound sessions. Open weekdays 5.30am to 9pm, weekends 7am to 7pm.
A Harrisdale recovery room with ice baths, a traditional sauna, compression boots, red light and massage guns, plus body composition scanning for anyone tracking the numbers. Stretching classes run alongside.
A West Leederville training and recovery room where the cold plunge and infrared sauna sit alongside the gym floor rather than in a separate wellness space. Compression boots, red light and shock wave therapy are on the same menu as pilates and yoga classes, which makes it more of an athlete's setup than a spa. Open from 6.30am on weekdays and Saturday mornings, closed Sundays.
A boutique health and wellness centre on Scarborough Beach Road pairing recovery with training: ice baths, Perth's first dry float tanks, red light therapy, infrared saunas and traditional Taiwanese massage alongside personal training and nutrition coaching. Open 6am to 10pm on weekdays and through the weekend.
Perth's first fully dedicated recovery centre: cold plunge pools alongside a magnesium-enriched hot plunge for contrast work, a Finnish sauna, steam room, red light therapy, compression boots and IV drips. Memberships run in two tiers with casual dips available, and professional teams train through here.
One of Perth's most fully-equipped recovery centres, open 6am to 10pm on weekdays: cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen, infrared sauna, contrast therapy, an LED light bed, compression, dry flotation, IV therapy and more, with a booking app and group and corporate sessions.
Private infrared sauna suites, ice baths, NormaTec compression boots, Compex muscle stimulation and NuCalm neuro-acoustic relaxation under one Jolimont roof, open seven days with evenings to 8pm early in the week. First-timers can take a ten-day recovery experience for $79.
Recwell is a contrast therapy and recovery centre in Wangara with hot and cold pools, a steam room, a campfire sauna, a compression boot lounge and Reformer Pilates. Contrast sessions run 60 minutes and include the pools, sauna and steam room, booked as casual sessions, packs or week-to-week memberships from $49 a week for two sessions. Remedial massage and physiotherapy run on site through outside providers. Open weekdays 5.30am to 8pm and weekends 7am to 4pm.
A Scarborough studio pairing small-group reformer Pilates — six reformers, never more — with a proper recovery wing: full-spectrum infrared sauna, commercial ice baths and structured contrast therapy. A $59 two-week unlimited intro pass covers the Pilates side.
A sauna and ice bath on Worthington Road, booked for exclusive use — you get the facility to yourself for the session rather than sharing it. Hot and cold are taken in contrast or on their own, and groups can book together. Open from 7am on weekdays, earlier finish on Fridays, and closed Sundays.
A day spa on the Scarborough Esplanade that added a bathhouse — magnesium bath, ice bath, sauna and rain showers — to its treatment rooms. Massage, facials and peels, pregnancy treatments, beauty and tanning, treatments for two and Sunday packages, using Vanessa Megan certified-organic skincare and the Medik8 cosmeceutical range. Bookings and gift cards run through Fresha.
Jessica Wrightson's skin studio, founded in 2016 and now inside Henosis & Co on Cambridge Street, West Leederville; she is the senior dermal therapist with twenty years in the field. Facials run from a teen mini to holistic, bespoke and peel rituals, with skin needling, IPL and RF alongside, lymphatic and remedial-technique massage, and a wellness room with infrared sauna, ice bath and LED, plus classes and workshops. Synergie Skin cosmeceuticals throughout.
A private infrared sauna and ice bath room inside Maylands' Modern Ritual yoga studio — booked as your own space rather than a shared facility, open around the class timetable seven days a week. The pairing makes a yoga-plus-contrast session a single stop.
Boutique reformer studios in Mahogany Creek and Kalamunda running fifty-plus classes a week since 2022 — reformer and restorative reformer alongside sound baths, meditation, breathwork and nervous-system regulation programs. The Mahogany Creek studio adds The Sanctuary, a sauna and cold plunge, plus a creche for the Mini + Me classes, and the team runs retreats as far afield as Ningaloo.
How Oria chooses these spa & recovery places
28 of the 96 spa & recovery listings in the directory match this view. The count is live, and the order puts specialists first — paid placement never moves anyone up it.
As of October 2026, 28 of the 96 Spa & Recovery listings on Oria Haven are in this view (Perth) — counted live from the directory.
6 places here publish a starting price, from $7 to $59. The median is $35.
24 of these specialise in spa & recovery — it is their main focus. The other 4 list it among other things they offer.
Every listing is hand-checked by Oria Haven. Figures updated 8 October 2026.
Most relevant means practices that specialise in this first, then the ones with the most reviews to go on. A listing that publishes its price, describes itself and names its services gets a small nudge, never more than a quarter of a star, because you can decide on it without ringing. Paid placements are shown once, in their own band, and never move anyone up the list.

The guide
Before you go: Ice Baths & Cold Plunges in Perth
Looking for cold therapy in Perth? 28 places here list an ice bath or cold plunge, and they fall into three kinds of room. Recovery studios, most of this list, sell the plunge by the session, usually alongside a sauna and often other equipment such as compression boots or red light. Bathhouses and a few day spas include an ice bath in a circuit with a sauna, steam room or hot bath. And a handful of gyms, yoga and Pilates studios keep a plunge beside the training floor.
The biggest difference between them is whether you share. Some sessions are communal, with a group in the same sauna and pools at a set time, often for a flat hour; others are booked as a private room for one or two people, and a few places can be hired outright for a group. Each listing says which where the place publishes it.
Where a session price is published, a sauna-and-plunge block starts at about $25 for thirty minutes and an hour runs about $35 to $45, with cheaper early-morning sessions at some rooms and packs or memberships at most. Each place sets its own prices and they change, so check before you go.
Swimwear is required at communal bathhouses, towels and change rooms vary, and some places set a minimum age. Oria Haven is a directory, not a health service. If you have a health concern, or you're pregnant or unsure, speak with your GP or a registered practitioner before you book.

About the Reel
The Reel, from Australia’s South West, introduces the floating sauna at Pemberton Pool: two wood-fired sauna rooms on the water with big windows onto the karri forest, and the ritual its caption describes — warm up, step outside into the pool, and repeat.

Your first visit
What to expect at your first cold plunge session
A short, sharp immersion in very cold water, usually sold alongside a sauna as a hot-and-cold circuit.
- Session length 30–60 min
- Group size 1–8
- Experience needed None — staff talk first-timers through it
- What it costs See published prices
From arrival to heading home
-
Before your visit
- Ten minutes early for a first visit. Staff generally talk first-timers through it rather than leaving you to work it out.
- Swimmers. A towel and robe for between rounds.
-
During the session
- Staff explain the routine: usually a warm-up in the sauna first, then the plunge, repeated a few times.
- You get in slowly. The instinct is to gasp — being told to slow your breathing down is the whole of the coaching.
- First immersions are short. A minute or two is a normal starting point and staff will often time it for you.
- Back to the heat, then repeat. Most circuits finish on the warm side.
- Dress warmly straight afterwards.
A little preparation
-
What to bring Water, thongs or sandals, and warm clothes for afterwards — you stay cold for a while.
This describes what these sessions are generally like, not any one venue on this page. Facilities and policies vary, so check anything that matters to you with the venue before you book.

Sources & how we calculated these figures
- Checked 7 October 2026, from prices published by 21 of the 28 Perth ice bath venues listed here, on their own websites, or the booking pages they link to.
- Typical means the median: the middle published price, one price per venue for each session length.
- Ice bath prices are single-person casual sessions; bathhouse circuits and members-only venues are shown as they are sold.
- North or south of the river is by the venue's suburb.
- Where a venue doesn't say something (hours, showers, privacy), it is counted as not stated -- never as no.
- Prices and inclusions change. Check the venue's own site before you book.
- Each figure says how many venues it comes from; different facts can rest on different numbers of venues. Venue names link to their Oria Haven listings, which link to the venue’s own site.

Ice bath & cold plunge in Perth — common questions
How much does an ice bath cost in Perth?
Where it's published, a sauna-and-cold-plunge session starts at about $25 for thirty minutes and runs to about $45 for a private hour, with cheaper early-morning sessions at some rooms and packs or memberships at most. Each place sets its own price, and the listing shows it where the place publishes one.
Is an ice bath the same as a cold plunge?
Perth places use the two names for the same thing: cold water you sit in for a short time. Some use chilled plunge pools, others ice baths or ice showers, and one beach-based operator uses the ocean itself. This page lists them all together.
Is an ice bath the same as cryotherapy?
No. An ice bath or cold plunge is cold water you sit in. Cryotherapy means standing in a chamber of very cold, dry air for a few minutes, and only a handful of Perth recovery studios offer it. They have their own page: cryotherapy in Perth.
Can I book an ice bath privately?
Yes, at several places. Some rooms are booked for one person or a pair, and a few can be hired outright for a group; others run communal sessions at set times. The listing says which where the place publishes it.
What should I bring?
Usually swimwear, which is required at communal bathhouses. Showers, towels and change rooms are common but not universal, so check the place's own website before your first visit.
Where can I do an ice bath and sauna together?
Most places on this page pair the plunge with a sauna. The ones set up for alternating the two in one session are also listed under Ice bath & sauna together (contrast therapy).
